Grand Theft Auto V

I just started replaying San Andreas last week after having the itch to replay it nearly a year.

Since Rockstar is hyping up this game as by far the biggest... I wonder if you leave San Andreas and this will be like GTA California.

Kind of like how Morrowind is the size of England and Just Cause 2's area is the size of Texas... I'm sure I'm slightly off on both of them, but I remember hearing comparissons.

What other genres/games do you like/play that AREN'T RPGs?

I loved Dungeon Keeper 2.

You're in luck Craze the market is oversaturated with tower defense games. Especially on Steam.

What fascinates you the most in an RPG?

I mean this question in a way to understand deeply the how is the "good feeling" you get when you are playing different types of RPG.
Is it the graphic settings?
-- Nope. I love Dragon Quest and that's simple.
Is it the awesome music playing in the background?
-- Nope. but it does enhance the drama to be honest.
The systems in that particular game that makes it unique?
-- Is there anything that make a game unique? Usually unique things to a specific RPG turn me off. Like I don't care... and I keep using skills items and attacks.
The amazing story line that has blown you away when you played it?
-- Are there amazing stories with RPGs? I played through FF3USA and people say its the greatest story evar and I don't remember anything about it other than the world was destroyed.
Having the option to go into different story lines throughout game?
-- Yes that does it for me. Finally something I can say yes to!
What fascinates you the most?
-- Uh the fact its relaxing and you can zone out and not think too much or get wired too much about. I play FPS games and my pulse pounds.

Grand Theft Auto V

My friend has been hyped for Saint's Row 3. He never played any other Saint's Row... but he loved the look of Saint's Row 3... then I showed him the GTAV trailer. He lost all interest in Saint's Row 3. He was gonna buy it day 1... but upon seeing the GTAV trailer and comparing the two he just got turned off to Saint's Row 3.

I wonder if that's why GTAV's trailer was released closely before Saint's Row 3.

Skyrim Hype Thread: Undead Chicken Soup for the Dragon's Soul

I probably have 150+ hours in Oblivion and maybe 500 in Morrowind. I lack the time to play Oblivion. Funny thing is I've never beat either game. I won't get Skyrim for another 2 years.

Mario's Mansion

Come to think of it I should just have a pros and cons of each level. The grade system was just laziness on my part.

Mario's Mansion

It should... Davenports will go to an A. Actually D-Ports stuff should have a tedium scale. But maybe I should take out difficulty. These are just basic grades and I'll have better details when I have more time.

Player's imagination in RPGs

Turn based is a strategy sort of thing like chess.
There are games that make agility and weapon swing and weapon length into an equasion of who goes first.
As for people's houses thats why some games have lockpicking or make it illegal to enter someone's house and have laws against such. Other games just bar the doors. I have a feeling locks were less common in the midieval days of yore.

What sucks is how dumb some people can be and not think about metaphores. Like when WWF's Ultimate Warrior used to cut promos. He would speak in metaphores but in retrospect everyone says they had no idea what he was talking about... well they're too dumb to comprehend metaphores.

Don't spell it out for people wondering they died... leave it open ended. You can leave them for dead... but then you find out later that they got up and walked away. A lot of men didn't die in civil war battles (unless they were stabbed). They died later. Medics would walk the battlefield afterward and find survivors and help them. Couldn't other characters come... find them alive and give them a phoenix down?

Don't tell the player anything. Don't hold their hand chop it off so they have to deal with it.

The Random Quest Story Book Project!

I generated some things and started to put everything coherently. I'm not sure writing a story could work for this with the monsters. But I guess it could work like the movie Labrynth where everything talks.
