What other genres/games do you like/play that AREN'T RPGs?

I know how that goes Jude... I have plenty of games that I haven't played yet. God Of War 2 is still unopened. Arkam Assylum isn't opened. Half Life 2 isn't opened. So many games to beat so little time. I'm working through the Half Life 1 expansion packs right now.

Do you happen to have a word document with all dialog?

Grand Theft Auto V

Yep my bad. Maybe Vercetti faked his death to live a normal life.

What other genres/games do you like/play that AREN'T RPGs?

Yeah CastleVanias are good, especially on Game Boy Advance. I've never played Symphony of the Night. I also like Castlevanias 1,2,3,Super... but not Dracula X. I also have some Castlevania for X-Box. Played it twice... never gonna play it again.

Grand Theft Auto V

Just from one of the scenes in this, I'm gonna assume this is late 80s. So it could have Vercetti in it.

What fascinates you the most in an RPG?

Well LockZoo, I play Morrowind and Oblivion but I feel they're more FPS than traditional RPGs. Sure you play a role, but you play Gordon Freeman's role in Half Life 1.

To be honest I don't like many RPGs, but I've played several. Many of them overcomplicate things and feel more like obsessive compulsion than fun.

But I haven't played Final Fantasy 7... the legend of RPGs. I have played Final Fantasy 8, a big melodrama tedium that doesn't make sense, but it plays like Resident Evil. Never played Chrono Trigger. Played 10 minutes of Super Mario RPG.

I really loved
- SaGa 1 & 2
- Dragon Warrior 1 & 3... but include 2 & 4 in there by nature (I own all on several platforms)
- Final Fantasy 1,2 Jap, 2 USA, 3 USA (I must have but I don't remember it and I own it on 2 platforms)
- Final Fantasy Tactics & Ogre Tactics. Ogre was better and Final Fantasy was tedium.

- Zelda, Mana, Illusion of Gaia, Final Fantasy Adventure, Daikatana GBC are great games aren't really RPGs, but people tend to confuse them.
- Morrowind & Oblivion are FPS.

I've played and beaten Earthbound several times, don't remember much about it, Lufia 2, Final Fantasy Mystic Quest, Golden Sun (I owned it 5 years before opening the package).

Maybe I'm just not an RPGer. Or maybe RPGs have changed so much that the modern ones are no longer fun.

Perhaps I'm here making RPGs as a creativity outlet like an old lady that knits.

Skyrim Hype Thread: Undead Chicken Soup for the Dragon's Soul

Oh nice. Someone was saying that there were no stats. Interesting menu to be honest with you. Looks great.

Anyway to elaborate on a statement that shouldn't need elaboration... people have complained about Skyrim... without it being out just like people complained about Oblivion taking a step down from Morrowind in some ways like having the GPS and fast travel. Fans will made mod(ifications) that will tweak or improve the games. Then you just instal the mods and that will improve the games the way you want them improved or deproved. Like some people want hunger in their games to make them real. Some want a world of women, some want it more difficult to get magic, some want it less difficult. Mods do anything. Hopefully that paragraph helped you understand. I'm sure you already did, but people love to play dumb. Worked for Paris Hilton and Jessica Simpson.

Every complaint will become some fan made mod. There aren't stats visible but they're still there. Use them and they'll get better.

So about Tower Defense games there was a new one that came out recently that in my mind totally stands out. Its on Steam it has a main character that seems a lot like Ache from Evil Dead. It looked great and easy to use.

Other than that Fat Princess or Plants vs Zombies.
