A Rainbow of Positivity

I don't really have any ideas of my own, but if anyone wants me I'd be more than happy to join a team.

I specialize in RPGmaker 2003, but I'm willing to use any engine (provided it can run on modern operating systems).

That's the one you want, then. It'll make sure all the move events are done before the rest of the commands execute.

And, yeah. There are a couple of different translations floating around.

You might be using a different version of RPGmaker 2003 than I am, but it should be the command directly above Halt All Movement.

Did you try putting a 'Wait for All Movement' command between the Move Event command and the Control Switches command? That should keep the NPC from disappearing right away.

Yeah, I played Pilgrim's Path and thought it was pretty cool. I liked the worldbuilding, but the combat was pretty bland.

Oh, thanks.

And, yeah. Looking back, combat could have had a lot more depth.

Abrupt Ending Party

So uh, I just showed the game to my brother, and apparently using the knife consumes shotgun ammo.

It's past the submission deadline, so I can't update anything, but if for whatever reason anyone wants to play my weird Fallout inspired UFO horror game, I put a fixed version on my Google Drive.

Abrupt Ending Party

Alright, my project's submitted. Had a lot of fun with this event, and I'm really glad I decided to sign up for it.

Not sure if Liberty is planning on streaming these games, or anything but if she does I (hopefully) won't be super embarrassed this time around.
I hope she does. :P She gets a small shout-out in one line of my entry.

Same here. It's always cool to see people go into a project blind.

Abrupt Ending Party

Well, my game's now playable from start to finish. I plan on doing another round of playtesting and maybe adding in some more content, but unless I'm hospitalized or something I shouldn't have any trouble making the deadline.

I also managed not to fill the game with .AVI files this time. Not sure if Liberty is planning on streaming these games, or anything but if she does I (hopefully) won't be super embarrassed this time around.

It'll be close if I make it.

I'm using my own game engine. I've got the game logic almost done, but the UI is all just super mocked-in and I still need to get the graphics and sound assets sorted out.

Good luck, I really hope you can pull this off.

@Sidewinder: Surprised that video you posted didn't get more comments! I love the grungy appeal of it. Completely lacks gloss in the best way. It's got that sort of late-80s "yeah, this is how the future will look" vibe, and I dig it.

I think it's just a demographics thing?

Most people come here because they're interested in RPGs, and not cyberpunk/space opera - visual novel/fmv/flight sim games. I'm not complaining or anything, I'm happy with the reception all of my projects have gotten, but I notice that Dirge tends to draw a lot more attention than my pre-rendered 3D stuff.

Anyway, thanks. I was a bit worried that the 8-ball lever made it look a bit too much like a slot machine, but I think it's worth it. It gives screen a bit of personality.
