The Grumpy Knight Review
Media Madness Month
Review for The Grumpy Knight.
The Grumpy Knight
I had a fun time playing the game. Especially in the beginning when I was experimenting with all the different characters. In the end I found Ruby and Victoria to be the most effective teammates. Ruby mostly because she had such strong initial damage. Paired with Elsa the two could take out enemies in 1 turn. Victoria was great; I liked being able to command extra attacks as well as have an automatic heal move. And of course the all out attack was a good finisher. I kept swapping out the final spot but kept Garron since his stun was useful and he did decent damage. All in all I found the battles a tad too easy. There were a lot of cool mechanics but just focusing on brute force got me through battles quickly.
I've only gotten the Normal Ending so far. I might go back and get the additional endings later.

The version I uploaded actually has a bug I introduced early on. Working on a getting a new version uploaded. Sorry about that.
Everything's All Right
I appreciate the early feedback guys. I think it's a good idea to reverse the timer and have it count as your score instead. Keeps a sense of urgency without having the frustration of restarting the level. As you mentioned it also gives more incentive to play a level again. I'll see if I can store the scores too.

Hey! Do you mind me asking what script you used for the lighting? Game looks great will be downloading!
That's a real old screenshot. I should probably remove these. The lighting is actually a sprite I made in photoshop.

I consider Master of the Wind the finest episodic RPG Maker game ever made. That you guys have made something else fills my heart with geekish glee and I am downloading and playing this immediately.
Thanks for the high compliment Trihan. Hope you like X-Noir. It's a much different experience from MotW.

I can't for the life of me figure out how to pass the room with the pipes. Help please...
Try walking along the pipes and seeing where there's a break in the pipes that cuts off the connection. If you still can't figure it out here are screens of the solutions:
