Hi!
I'm an Italian Rpgmaker2003 user (since 2002).
I like to draw (testament77.deviantart.com), I like to collect console's videogames, I watch anime, expecially super robot ones, and I like rpgmaker.
I'm here to share my projects and to see yours.
Keep up the good work, everyone!

[Poll] Western RPGs VS Japanese RPGs
I don't like the western approach to rpg (most of the time), both graphical and gameplay/plot.
I usually play with friend rpg around the table (GURPS, MERPS, D&D) with dices and character sheets.
But video RPGs ... are not for me.
When I play a videogame I want to discover a story, good and memorable character, plot etc.
I don't wanto to be a generic hero with name and phisical appearence made by an editor in a world where YOU make the story.
Free roaming is my worst game genre, I hate to travel aimlessy a world with all to do and nothing to do.
Not only free roaming in the Western style, but...
Secondary, I don't like "realistic", desaturated, graphic, I prefer an anime like approach.

Forgot the ps2/ps1/snes/GBA/DS/other consoles version of RPGMaker.
Rpgmaker on PC is a complete different world. Another program at all.
Welcome to RMN!

Google Drive is perfect for RPG MAKER!
I've seen too many project (at least in italy) lost forever in a crash/hd failure/format/PC stealing/other plagues...
Backup is the way.
The risk to lost years of work in progress is something that must be absolutely avoided.

I've an external drive only for backup purpose, 2 times a week. Another external drive where every once in a while I do another backup copy and an usb pen drive where I copy the project after consistent changes/woks.
If my city explodes otherwise, I'll have some problems retrive the game's data XD.
The fact is that the full folder of the project, with work in progress file, layered files, everytypeoffilethatconcerntheproject, resources to be used maybe yes, maybe not, we'll see, screenshot, snapshot to rip, etc, it's about a Giga. I can upload only the real project folders, but it's easier to copy all in another drive.
