I have a fairy in a cage next to my computer. I feed it peanuts and Diet Dr Pepper. When I want ideas, I beat it with a wooden paddle.
I pretty much only do music for games now. I have good ideas for story or gameplay every now and then, but I'm not good enough to make it happen. If you see me as the developer of a group game, you can rest assured that I'm doing the music and really just acting as a sounding board for the other developers.

And I don't know why they bother portraying their banner using those Maple Story-eque graphics, because you have to try in order to have an online game worse than Maple Story.
And my God that guy on the porn banner gives me the creeps...
I take offense.
However, while on the topic of weird banner adds, Maple Story has a weird one that I see a lot on GameFAQs with that guy getting chased by monsters until he encounters the fabled "PooStick" that scares away the monsters and saves 10% of his exp, followed by the Maple Story logo that says to "Play now, press poo." Umm...
Yeah, when I think crap on a stick, I think of that Repellant Stick on Fallout 3 that instantly kills Mole Rats.
I'm just messing, I'm not really offended. And christ, that banner ad sounds terrible.
Well-defined DBS or primitive CBS?
DBS. Just make it well rounded and engaging and connect it to the 'outside world', IE the rest of the game. Maybe have characters learn skills by things they find in-game, use a decent amount of treasure chests, and try to let the characters' personalities com across in the battles.
CBS should only be made if the creator has a specific idea in mind that can't be achieved with the DBS. DBS is not bad, it just needs some love to make it feel unique.
If you're telling yourself "I'm gonna do a CBS! Mmk, now what should I do..." you're probably doing it backwards :P

The best free-ware game on the net
So what do you guys think is the best free game on the internet? (NOTE: Excluding all RPGMaker games + any other makers associated with this site).
My personal vote goes to GunZ: The Duel. For those who don't know, it's a 3rd person online shooter RPG that essentially features matrix-like gravity. The game was a little bit glitchy, but that ended up MAKING the game because a whole style of play revolved around exploiting various minor glitches. The result? Extreme skill based gameplay that is a TON of fun and VERY addicting.

Ya, that's homemade science I'm pretty sure... People who believe that fail to realize that they have to shave more because THEY'RE GETTING OLDER not because they shaved one time. It's like saying that going to school makes you taller, because look! The longer you've been in school.... the taller you are!!!! Wow! I r so smrt! :P

Ya, this version is definitely an improvement. For your next song, I'd suggest you do a very traditional structure just to get practice in that area:
2 measure phrase
2 measure phrase (repeat of the first)
4 measure response, ending on chord V (so if you're in C major, end on G major)
then repeat the exact same thing, copy paste. Then...
4 measures based on chord V
then repeat your first part
2 measure phrase
2 measure phrase
4 measure response (but this time, end on chord I)
I mean, feel free to do whatever you want, but you'd definitely benefit from this. Let me know if that didn't make any sense :P
And this goes for all musicians here, I'd suggest trying the above form, if only to learn a thing or two about structure.
