Push / Pull objects (no-script method)

In one of my games I used a system that first get's the x,y coordinates of the object. Then it attempts to move the object, so move route (object), forward.

Then it uses 2 more variables to get the new x,y of the object. It compares the old with the new and if they are the same, the event ends because the object wasn't able to move and therefore it won't move the player. If there is any difference, so conditional branches of IF var 1 IS NOT EQUAL to var 3, for example, then that means the object was able to move, so then the event continues on to move the hero via move route.

That's the basic idea. It checks to see if the object moved before it allows the player to move. Perhaps that's all you need to get it done yourself. If you need any help with that let me know.

Super Dr. Toadly World

I'll add my name to the list of people having life get in the way. I ended up being able to move into my new apartment early so I've been busy with that. Finally settled in though, got a few days of no work, now's the time to get things done.

I'll probably test levels before I start work on mine.

but I don't think there's any that function like RMN.

This is true all over the world. RMN #1

Super Dr. Toadly World

Too late, I already started. But there can be more than one processing center. Demand is high.

Super Dr. Toadly World

To make you feel better about it, I'll have the Toads going in be normal. So the factory is to turn them into various forms of evil Toads. Crisis solved.

Super Dr. Toadly World

Hmm, yeah. Guess I'll just do it as a cutscene instead of playable section.

Awesome, thanks!

Having the player controlled graphic be only a box(think Metal Gear Solid), and yes it's possible to force that, and you would have to wait and see what I have planned heh I'll get it working one way or another. Player controlled or not.

I pulled in a few more graphics and starting working on factory type stuff. This is all just a testing area, a draft. Not final, just showing stuff.

Here's my graphics so far https://rpgmaker.net/media/content/users/9179/locker/1.zip

There is a copy of a few Toadly's here that have invisible death graphics, made so that it looks better when they go through the assembly line.
