Help with custom VX charsets

Another quick question- how do I set the transpqarency colors? I can't find it in the database or the help file, and those ugly blue blocks show up surrounding the sprite.

Fable II. I mean, the story sucked balls, so I wasn't expecting too much... but when it leads you to believe you're going to have an epic duel to the death, would it be too much to ask for a proper last boss?
EDIT: Oh yeah, Bioshock's endings sucked hard too.
