Want some early feedback on a new dungeon - Ferndale Glen, Forest of Fairies.
I LOVE what you did with the forest color palette! Not enough people playing with color palettes on their tilesets to really set the mood. It looks very ethereal. Can I suggest making the lamps more fairy-colored, and not using any of the blue ground-gems? The yellow and purple ones look great. Example:
(Also, that tile in the center of the archway over the stairs is an empty window.)

I'm shocked no one brought up Chrono Trigger. The entire second half of the game is comprised of optional content, or you can just go straight to the endgame boss. (In fact, it's one of the few games where you can fight the endgame boss in the first 10 minutes of the game. How apropos!) Chrono Trigger even rewards you for familiarizing yourself with its setting by allowing you to get multiple rewards from the same chest as long as you open them in the future first (if you open them in the past, you already took it, so the future version of the exact same chest is empty).

if you're that worried about the 'main story' crossing the line maybe you should re-think your approach to a gam that is literally about avoiding the main story?? it says you don't even need to include one

Does the game have to consist only of gameplay related to doing the side quests? Where you might see mention of a main story but the game never gets around to that.
In this event you can structure the game to follow only sidequests, or have a short story as an aside to the quests

that's honestly not bad advice? push your range, get a feel for what you can do with your voice and play it back so you know how it sounds.
Your advice is good, screaming is not. Voice actors don't yell or scream - it sounds horrible in a microphone. They learn how to inflect and project in a more powerful way and the sound engineers adjust the volume levels afterward! There's a beginner tip for you.

I'm thinking how some people never change. You could check this website once every two years for the past decade and find nothing but instances of the same people being dickholes.

Yeah you edited it out but I caught it. You definitely know you're being a dickhole when a comment like this isn't specifically directed at you but you INSTANTLY take it as a personal assault. It's very telling about you and how you know you're acting and I'm not letting you edit it out and pretend otherwise. Get over yourself.
