Also it really needs to ditch this 976px main column. 1366x768 has been the most used resolution for a while now.

The contrast edit removes any depth that might have been there before (even though I hate both versions) - you can't bring the entire screen to the foreground, which is what this level of saturation does.

Consider revising your menu commands. "Special" means nothing at all; "Aggressive Magic" and "Control Magic" are a great opportunity for you to add a little personal flair and style to the game. You could name them "Black Artes" and "Hypnotism" for example, and people would still understand the difference, but with 300% less generic naming. Also, do they actually need to be separate commands? Why not put them all under one Magic command and sort them out by type?

I'm afraid everything else I have are placeholder graphics and conditional branches.
I'm a big fan of very small but very effective RTP edits. Like those blue flowers in the last shot. Do you have enough room in the tileset to make a horizontal flip of them, and a copy of them where you erased one flower? As-is, those diagonally aligned flowers all being the same makes me see a bunch of blue / / / / / / s on the screen.

As a geriatric RM user, I have many memories of putting together many similar looking forests with refmap and then giving up because they ended up getting lost in a mess of other quality maps. Maybe that's what Versalia meant?
