I've been at making games for RPG Maker for almost 20 years! No, they're not ALL Dragon Kingdoms games, just most of 'em.

Dragon Quest IX
I've decided that I don't feel like waiting until May 19th, 2010 to play DQ9, so what should I be aware of, like any thing different from a DQ game, other than touch encounters (which began to show up in DQ8 already with certain monsters) and class changes (DQ3, 6, 7)?

Broken Loose on Pokemon RBY
When a Pokémon's HP is 255 or 511 below its max HP, recovery moves will fail. Don't ask. Just don't.
I'm guessing this could happen if its HP is 767 below max? Because if it doesn't, that'd be even weirder.
And by Substitute, I assume this is when switching Pokémon. That monster goes from 25/100 to 0/100? Seriously? What a buggy game!
How do you like your hero?

I agree, it's stupid. What's the point of giving the player a choice when saying NO isn't going to really do anything?
"zomg it's a talking frog"
"I have to go now, my planet needs me."
"1 - Wait, I'll go too!
2 - Have fun!"
*Select 2*
"It might be dangerous alone..."

I think the second or third time I'd enter 2, it'd say, "Fine, have it your way, but I warned you." And then the player would be alone. Why would I go with a talking frog, anyway? All they ever do is save your game or hop across traffic!

Rare.
If you choose well done, then your heroes are reduced to 1/4 of their max hp so...
It was down to 1 HP in the SNES version of Breath of Fire II.
Games Released in 2009
And yes, everyone, I will be updating this article soon. Quarter 3 hasn't been bad enough for there to be zero releases, I just haven't fixed this yet.

In the Light Realm, the bookcases and desks would be yellow instead of blue, as would the walls. Everything is more blue. That's one reason I've moved on to doing more custom stuff.
So my time at RMN is coming to an end...

This makes me pretty scared that rmn as a whole is doomed. The newsletter release something and the community projects is some of the best stuff. Rmn has to offer. This news coupled with the few and lackluster podcast we have been getting since the departure of Brandon Abbly. Makes me wonder if I will need to find a new home to host and play games. Please someone keep the best amateur game making community going.
Considering that RMD- RPG Maker Downloads, for those new- went down in 2005 (but really had the writing on the wall by late 2004) because of disagreements due to their webmaster, Geluhvsgatsiskwa, taking a less active role, this is a very good point.
The "new" webmaster disagreed with the old one, and thus the old one took RMD down with him, since he still controlled the domain. The remaining group took off to form Frying Bear (now defunct).
Final Fantasy XIII Ideal vs Actuality
Couldn't this also be the PS3 version versus the XBOX 360 version (notice how there's English subtitles in one screenshot)? Either way, the graphics aren't THAT big of a deal. It's not like PS1/N64/Dreamcast, where the Dreamcast had the best graphics, followed by PS1, with N64 bringing up the rear with pop-up graphics and fog everywhere.
Games released in 2009
As a note, I can't remove any game from the list. I can, however, remove any link to the actual game or discussion. If everybody asked for their game to be removed and I did, well, there would be little point of having a 2009 release list.
Post Your Game Merchandise Right Here!!!
Well, technically speaking, some of my stuff on deviantART for Dragon Kingdoms Birth of a Legend could fall under this category, since I'm trying to sell prints of some of the earlier maps I made.
Forcing RROD?
Planned obsolescence makes me wonder how the world could handle another Depression like in the 1930s. IF something broke down or wore out in those days, they could patch it up/fix it to get by.
This global downturn/depression (note the lowercase d) isn't even a year old, and people are having to trade in their three year-old "clunkers" to the auto companies just to get another car/truck that will do the same thing in 2012 (if not sooner). Speaking of which, I wonder what message it will send when people show up with their 2006 and 2007 model year vehicles to the places trading them in?
It seems our consoles are the next logical step. Nintendo needs to stop making consoles that last for years, and get with the program! I'd guess PS3s break down too, or they would, if they were actually used very much (LOL no games).
