WHEELMANZERO'S PROFILE

Just a guy who loves rpg's. Thanks to some serious encouragement from several new friends and the community at large, I was able to complete one of my own. Game making is my favorite hobby, so you can expect more games on the way. Play on fellow gamers, play on!

Umbral Soul

Thanks for the review icaro, it was a pleasure to read through. It seems people have been discovering OP combinations that even I hadn't though of! That pesky glitch that restores HP upon dying in berserk mode has been annoyingly persistent, but I've been trying to think of a way to fix it.

Your rundown of each character's strengths and weaknesses made for quite an enjoyable read. While some characters are definitely better than others, I thought having a large selection to choose from would increase player options and add some replay value to the game.

I powered through the game with Damien, Marcus, Lanith and the Kraken myself.

Thanks for playing and sharing your thoughts, you made my day with this.

Umbral Soul

Glad you enjoyed it bud! The whole raising an army thing was referring more to recruiting summons and various underlings as you go along, though the evil soldiers don't actually do anything in terms of gameplay.

Those are some interesting suggestions you've got there, but managing conquered provinces would turn this into a different type of game. It would be like evil simtown. While I would pay good money to play evil simtown, it's not really the type of game I was aiming to make. (Sidenote: Somebody out there please make an evil version of simtown.)

Marking the rest as a spoiler, because every other thing I say is a spoiler.

The villains don't actually get going when it comes to outright conquering things until the sequel, though by that time you won't be in control of them. At the very least you can look forward to seeing how familiar locations have changed under the acolytes' rule.

Yay!!! Working on it again! :D (After a year long hiatus)

Wow, its been a year already huh? Time sure does fly. Congrats on graduating, and it's great to hear this project is back in production.

Bound By Faith

Even better! I'll start selling tickets for the hype train immediately. I'll be getting a 30% cut of all the profits of course.

Bound By Faith

I agree that it looks interesting. I can't get enough of good old fashioned "save the world" adventures...and lightbeams. Now activating sub button.

Lost in Fantasy 2 | Horse Attack (Process)

That's some mighty fine art right there. Especially love the sheen on the armor. That poor guy blocking is gonna get his butt kicked.

Slow Start

That's an awesome attitude Malchior. I look forward to seeing what this project becomes as well.

Update: Umbral Soul Reverse

Nah, Pandora's damage output will still be limited compared to other characters. She was always designed to play more of a supportive role, buffing allies and summoning monsters. While her party healing spell will be removed, I plan on greatly buffing the amount of HP Shadow Shell recovers. She'll still be able to heal, but you'll need to be much more careful about when to use that healing. I'll make another announcement once the Ultimate Edition is available.

Chronicles of Tsufanubra

Congrats on getting your game featured on the front page Ephiam. I've only gotten around to playing a little bit, but this seems like a very fun game.

Update: Umbral Soul Reverse

lianderson- Tumbleweeds are the trolls of the plant world. Regular weeds are annoying, but tumbleweeds form a subclass of weed that is in its own exclusive tier of obnoxiousness. Kind of like Meta Knight in Smash Bros.

Knightowl- Ha! With all these fancy titles I'm flinging around, it's easy to get them mixed up. The "Reverse" campaign is a part of the Ultimate edition of Umbral Soul. I didn't want to release it as a separate game since it uses many of the same locations as the normal campaign. Luminous Soul is the title of the sequel, which takes place after the events of Umbral Soul and the Reverse campaign.

Dag-nabit TangledLion, at least 40% of your memes go right over my head. You forced me to look up "You can't lock up the darkness" and now I have to start watching Flash. Thanks alot...

You'll get a story selection screen as soon as you start a new game that'll let you choose your campaign, so you don't have to replay the game at all to access the bulk of the new content. It's great to hear from you, but don't worry about the vids, real life comes first. Welp, back to work!
