YEASTER'S PROFILE

Hi! Thank you for peeping at my profile.

I like making modern-themed games. My first game, Onyx, was made in 2006, when I was a senior in high school. So it's pretty ROUGH, but people seem to like it? Total Chaos is my personal favorite, but it has some, erm, issues, too. Mystery Man Zero is coming you guys, I haven't forgotten about it. A full-game will come out even if it takes 10 years. Oh gosh, I hope it doesn't take that long, but you get what I'm saying, right?

Right now, I am also working on A Nightmare in Sunnydale, a horror genre mesh-up fangame, if you will. I also like playing games. Actually, playing RPGM games is legit one of my favorite pastimes. *insert smiley here*

When I can fit it in, I do a little bit of Gatekeeper as well, a sci-fi fantasy about a team of god-lite forces, Gatekeepers, who have to protect the dying Earth from forces they don't even know about.

If thou think they can take it, download some of my stuff!

Hmm... Just for the fun of it, would you mind playing Total Chaos?

It's over a year old though.

Long RPG Maker Games

I think all of my games are within the 15-20 hour range. I don't think it's because of long fights, though. In fact, most of the battles are really short.

Naming your characters

I just give my characters normal names, but if I can't think of a name, I just name them after various people in the media (usually reality show people).

The Last Bible

I love modern/futuristic-ish type games, I wish there were a lot more of them, though. I'll be on the lookout for this.

Plodding along...

Cool. I played a demo of this when you first put one out, but it kept stopping or whatever. I have an updated demo from a while back, but I'll wait until the game is done before I play it again. :p

The Blog Topic.

Whenever I browse through other people's projects, I almost always leave a comment.

RPG Maker Games V.S Commercial Games

lol Right.

I don't see myself buying any RPGM game. It's not that they're bad, because most of them are really fun to play actually...I just don't have any extra cash!

Walkthroughs

I just write my own walkthroughs.

How about a Play Something Day?

This sounds great, I would definitely do this.

Release Something! Day Discussion thread

Haha, fighting the Ceberus at level 6 is totally asking for it. :P Level 9 is the best way to go.

- Something I forgot to mention from last time is after getting the Cellar key, I went through the entire manor trying to find if I missed a door or not. Problem was the room that takes you to the garden. I thought it was sealed off, when I tried to go there before even getting into the east wing. I guess some sort of tip that the room is now accessable would be nice (or I'm unobservant and missed it).

True, I should've done that. I just assumed the players would keep checking it as I would.

- Similar problem when you're walking on the highway to the Hermit's house. I jumped the rail but I didn't follow the darkened path to the house. I dismissed it as trivial since the dark ground was all over the place and I didn't make the connection to follow it. I ended up consulting the walkthrough. (Is there any way to find that Mark of Truth without the walkthrough?)

That was a hidden item, so probably not, unless you like to check everything (which is actually recommended). Sorry for not making that dark path clear enough though, for the cabin and any other place where you can't "see" the door (because it's on the left or right cut or whatever), you'll see a square carpet...like a mat or something. That's my way of letting the players know that there's a pathway right there. If you see nothing on the floor, then that's probably just a regular o' wall.
