YEASTER'S PROFILE

Hi! Thank you for peeping at my profile.

I like making modern-themed games. My first game, Onyx, was made in 2006, when I was a senior in high school. So it's pretty ROUGH, but people seem to like it? Total Chaos is my personal favorite, but it has some, erm, issues, too. Mystery Man Zero is coming you guys, I haven't forgotten about it. A full-game will come out even if it takes 10 years. Oh gosh, I hope it doesn't take that long, but you get what I'm saying, right?

Right now, I am also working on A Nightmare in Sunnydale, a horror genre mesh-up fangame, if you will. I also like playing games. Actually, playing RPGM games is legit one of my favorite pastimes. *insert smiley here*

When I can fit it in, I do a little bit of Gatekeeper as well, a sci-fi fantasy about a team of god-lite forces, Gatekeepers, who have to protect the dying Earth from forces they don't even know about.

If thou think they can take it, download some of my stuff!

Just be careful how you do it. Don't start talking about your game in every post, but keep it in your sig, screenshot topics, your own game topic, and of course the Release Something/ Play Something events.

In other words, don't be S4D.

lmao

Vanity had about 150 (from here) before I deleted it. Now it has 7. :P

My other stuff would've had a 1000 each if the links weren't constantly being replaced over and over.

Your Game Making Design

Modern, because there aren't any modern RPGs around, even though I would probably be better at using medievel style chips.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

Goddess! by Rose Skye: THE DOWNLOAD LINK DOESN'T WORK FOR ME.

Complete Chaos by Yeaster: This is the first game I was going to play, because I thought it was the one, out of the games I was able to download that was the least my thing.

It was better than I thought, but I'm confused by it...I assumed that any game called "Complete Chaos" that uses facesets that are obviously Denzel Washington, Dennis Hopper, Hayden Christiansen, and other recognizable faces, would be a ridiculous joke game, with a focus on whackiness, zaniness, and absurd humor; not my cuppa, so to speak. But in spite of the goofy choice of facesets and the admittedly cheesy premise, Complete Chaos has so far been a basically "serious" game (at least, not as random and self-referential/fourth wall breaking as I thought it would be) with most of the humor in it being situational, rather than absurdist. Does it get whacky later on, or have I just been thinking it's the wrong kind of game all along? Anyway, there haven't been any battles/dungeons/puzzles yet, so there's very little to judge it on as a game.

Anyway, I was able to get exactly as far as the scene with Eric's wigger "cousin", in the concert hall, before meeting the Jazz singer, when THIS fatal error occured, causing the game to crash:

More stuff about more games later on.

Like with Total Chaos, I desperately tried to avoid random humor here..being stupid for the sake of being stupid and then trying to "cover it up" by acknowledging and poking fun at our own stupidness. Everyone does that so I wanted to try a different approach.

The game is a comedy, yes, but it actually has a complete storyline (that makes sense) and fully developed characters.

And if anyone else encountered that error, on the game's page are the missing files. Just paste them in the game's chara folder.

^It's funny I read that after having just downloaded the game.

But so far, it seems pretty good. I didn't get far in it yet, but the music is really, really, really, really good. Right now, the music and the graphics almost make the game, but of course it's entirely too early to say that just yet.

What we did horribly on our first games.

My game was all RTP, and honestly, I don't think it was that bad. It didn't really have a plot, but it was...okay, I guess. I don't really remember it because I have crashed twice since then, so I no longer have it.

About Complete Chaos...yeah, the files are technically there, just named differently because the RPGM2k3 version I have is probably a lesser used one.

Anyway, here are the files. Just paste these into the game's Chara folder.

Let me know if anything else is missing.

Release Something! Day IV: Release Thread

I'm posting Complete Chaos!

The old demo, that is.

TITLE: Complete Chaos
DESCRIPTION:
You are ERIC Ventura, a police officer hired to protect Jazz singer KYON-LEI KWON from a deadly stalker. After a night of mysterious events, it is up to you to find the one responsible for the demon outbreak, and put him to rest...permanently...

This is a demo of the game's first four dungeons. A LOT has changed since this demo, notably the facesets and some of the graphics, but this still gives you somewhat of an idea of what to expect from the full game.

Chronology of the Last Era

Hey, I just started your game yesterday. Right now, I like it. I'm at the part where your second party member joins your time (I don't want to say his name incase it's a spoiler or whatever). So far, I think it's really good. The music is bitchin', I LOVE the first town's music, the one with all the drunk people.

There is an extreme shortage of healing items, but it seems that the monsters drop enough to keep you alive, and the items, right now, aren't that expensive, which is good.

Rose's Review Thread.

There was an error in Vanity that slipped by and it prevents you from going forward. It sucks that people wait until the demo's third month to point this out, but whatever. :P

So yeah...here's the "fixed" link, if you're still interested. I'm sure most people just cheated their way through anyway, but there were some sites Vanity was posted in where the users don't use RPGMaker...

Damage control time.

NEW GAME LINK

What are you thinking about right now?

How crappy it is that the girl's dorm lost their visiting rights until "further notice" right when I was about to get some.
