Where would your life be without RPG Maker?
Maybe my interests would've stuck to drawing mostly and I'd become in illustrator instead of gradually loosing that interest for programming. Not using RPG Maker any longer, but it was a nice hobby making a few games in it and a gateway to more programming and other game ideas.

And today I dreamt I was among the first temporary human estabilishment on the moon. It was incredible. I also dreamt I accidentaly got on a rollercoaster. But the moon thing was much more awesome.

[RM2K3] Balancing Skills
A typical approach to start with is make single-target skills deal more damage than multi-target skills. That or at least make the skill (Fantasy Orb in this case) have an extra trait, like induce a status effect or affect attributes such as defense.
ImageShack - more ImageSchtick, amrite? (stop using ImageShack to host images)
I learnt to stop using imageshack after my nice background for my game page got removed. The worse part is that I seem to have lost the original file...

it just occured me how silly the meteor crashes are in ffv
All the meteors had some sort of portals inside, so I assumed they let them crash, then warp over safely. Not sure what caused Galuf's amnesia in that case though.
FF7 remake. It's a thing.
I bet Aeris will be purchasable DLC unlocked post story death scene.
Yuffie and Vincent will be DLC.
Weapon bosses will be DLC.
Revisiting Midgar will be DLC.
Leaving Midgar will be DLC.
Let's add micro-transactions to how many times you want Omnislash to hit while we're at it.

Are their any examples of this being done?
My mind jumped to the encounter approach in The World Ends With you.
It's impossible to run into enemy encounters (except story driven battles). You select groups of monsters from a different view. At most you'll be given requirements in how you engage them to proceed in the game at points.
I can't think of another game that does battles this way.
