What's the stupidest/silliest thing you've purposefully implemented in your game?

In an unfinished game a long time ago, a certain someone added himself as an optional superboss.

Same game also had an arctic island with an entrance to hell. A "Hell Chocobo" later escaped from that place and went on a murder spree.

Same island had a long dormant volcano that can be triggered, thus making it a tropical paradise.

Later in the story, the enemy builds a factory on said hell entrance to exploit whatever you can exploit from the fiery depths of hell.

Again, same game, an enemy fleet camouflaged their battleships and managed to evade ally cannon-fire by painting their battleships with blue paint.

Same game, to progress to the second half of the game, you needed to collect three relics that were scattered throughout the world. The relics had no other explanation than to progress the game past a certain point.

Also, throwing dynamite over the perimeter walls of a large enemy base was totally a valid way of blowing the whole place up.

Maybe the last fact shouldn't be so surprising, considering stocking a small island full of TNT crates was sufficient to completely remove it from the map.

Although quite a silly game now when I think back to it (it wasn't pure comedy), I'm glad it never saw the light of day.

You ever seen a ghost user on RMN?

I'm always around, but I rarely post. I find it tough to add myself to conversations...
So... BoOOoOoooOooo~?

[Poll] Favorite Link Incarnation

My favorite is Toon Link. Because, as others has said - personality traits.

So, exactly how many different Links are there, being the same across games?

Different ways of learning magic/skills

Instead of learning new skills/magic by level, it would be more interesting to do it by stats. Say, if you increase your agility past a certain point, you'd gain a new agility-based move. If attunement to fire, then a new fire-magic, etc.
It's still somewhat similar to gaining them by level, as leveling usually increases several stats as well. The difference being that characters would be able to learn a wider range of moves.

extremely hard and especially difficult games?

Oh well, won't be first suggesting his own game anyway.
If you're a Metal Gear Solid-fan, there's my fangame Metal Gear Solid: Lunacy of Legion. It's more like an action-RPG. I've heard people complain about the difficulty in the past. After plenty of updates, the game is more refined. Last update included multiple difficulty settings, there also toughest being 3 steps above Normal.
As being Metal Gear Solid, that means Game Over on discovered, no rations, tougher battles, etc. But I wouldn't start on that level. The game assumes you know some things by then.

A "Boss Reunion" near the Endgame?

I recall repeating some bosses or miniboss at few occasions in my game.
They weren't completely the same as the first encounter.
- One miniboss changed it up my turning invisible in the second round. That encounter was even optional to begin with.
- Then there was a main-boss showing up a second time, but in this encounter more like a miniboss, although at lower health, she was fighting more relentlessly.

What I mean to say is, I think it works out fine in repeating the boss if you're not just copy-pasting. Make the boss different. Tougher, maybe new moves or tricks.
Some might like that you can curb-stomp "that one boss" this time around if it's the same, but I find it boring and a waste of time. If you already defeated it the first time, the satisfaction has already been there.

RMN Confessions

- I never introduced myself in the dedicated section of the forums. I just went with the flow.
- I've played fewer than 5 games from this site.
- I regret using RPG-Maker for my main-game in the first place.

GUYS! GUYS, I did it! Weight is off the shoulders!

I'll just hide in the dark corner I came from...

If my japanese is correct now, the error message says that the player starting position hasn't been set.

what would be a good fictional or fantasy artisan craft or trade

Those sound more like typical classes rather than craftsmanship.
You sure you read the topic title?

Damage formula optimizer
Improves (or just randomizes) the damage formula on your weapon.
Tired of the plain formula of your weapon-attack-against-armor-defense?
How about making more damage with a strike the more defense the armor has instead?
Or how about making the weapon weak and get stronger after each kill?
The only limit is thinking inside the box.
(Warning: Might be a bit too meta.)

Warp Stone Wizard
Those warp stones that are being sold that lets people easily warp from one place to another? There's more work behind it than they think. As a warp wizard, you must perform complicated things, like navigate the right path through wormholes to make the user end up in the right place safely. Not to mention crafting those stones for selling.

Random Materials Combiner
Craft new objects by combining other random materials. The more skills, the better (or just more random) the result.
Summon Shelter Manager
For all those stray, homeless summoning beasts.
