To be honest, this is what I thought too :P
I think it came down to personal preference in style. I liked Ody's and Clest's equally and I felt they were both very strong contenders. I definitely wouldn't have been able to pick between them!

There's two sides to this. : ) I totally agree that it's silly sometimes to think that you're with the person you're with forever at 15 (I was guilty of this myself). However, something that Clest brought up and I think it's true: in many cases, the person you're with at a certain stage of your life is the best person for you at that time.
Even horrible abusive relationships can sometimes allow people to grow from them, and healthy relationships, though they may end, teach you something about yourself and resonate with you even when they pass. So even young love relationships are valid in their own ways : D
Also, that's a great story... I'm sorry though that things passed you both by, but it's such good wisdom and I'm glad you shared it here with us.

First off, you are instructed NOT to send your hard drive for general hardware issues. It's also pretty clear in the packing instructions that come with the "coffin". You shouldn't send in anything besides the console -- no cords, no HDD units, nothing.
I kind of meant to say this, but the lateness of the hour caused me to be vague/lazy.
Yeah. Restating my earlier comment CORRECTLY this time: you send in the unit without your hard drive in, they send you back a new one/fixed one, you put the hard drive back in it. Yeah.

Ugh, this seems to happen to everyone.
The real "rrod" is the one with three red lights, not four. I assume that's the one your pal is getting.
Basically the only way to fix the real rrod is to keep... sending it back. It should be covered by warrantee (can't spell, it's freaking 6 am). Apparently you can also get it replaced at your place of purchase.
They don't actually "fix" your X-box. What they really do is give you a brand new machine with your old hard drive in it. If the new ones they keep giving you keep breaking, that's just the worst luck I've ever heard.
There are some home-remedies to fixing this, but unless you're really good with machines, I wouldn't risk voiding warrantee by attempting them.

As far as I can tell, most carriers are pretty unreliable. My boyfriend needed some medication (one dose costs an exorbitant amount of money) shipped in a cooler to him. Now this particular medication goes bad if it isn't kept cool. We had it shipped through the USPS next-day express mail or whatever, the one where they GUARANTEE it will get there the next day.
Yeah, sure, it showed up a day late. The meds had gone bad.
I'm beginning to think we have no one left to trust.
Thanks for the heads up... I hope all your stuff comes through undamaged in the end.

Just to be back on topic (before Macgee complains):
I think I understand McGee´s point a lot when he says he couldn´t feel good working on something else, and I tried, I was even commended on working fast and with quality as a 3D mechanical designer (and I still get freelancer jobs on that mainly for the money) but working full time with that was really boooring and I got easily distracted. Only other thing I really enjoyed (and my classmates are trying to pull me to do it again) is giving manga classes, might give me more extra income XD
But still working for games or entretainment in general is in my heart for a long time and it really fulfills me =^.^=

Interviews: I am lukewarm on this idea. I do not know if members of our community really have the celebrity status to be interviewable. If you disagree and you want to hear interviews, then by all means we will do them. I have been interviewed for several community features (especially foreign ones) for music etc and I always feel like a pretentious ass, but this podcast is for you and not for me!
As for this, I believe the "interview" idea would be better accomplished by having the guest host speak briefly about their game as part of their introduction. This, of course, would necessitate a constantly changing guest host, and I don't know if that is your intention or not.
