Hi I'm Nikki (everyone still calls me Char though) and I'm really bad at making descriptions.

I'm much more active on twitter!

I've been a member of RMN for six years. Damn! O_O

Congrats the real question is how much have you learned and how much do you regret.

HoloLens Games

I've been interested with the idea since the announcement as for portability I'm guessing you'll need to be on the same wifi as the computer your using it with seeing it connects to it. We all know younger kids are going to be interested in it too though seeing Microsoft owns the Minecraft rights now.

Bright Future

If the game isn't to long or in pieces that only the original team would ever be able to understand I'd be glad to offer some assistance if needed seeing I was looking forward to this.

Edit: Page two.

I always miss out on the wild drama

Yeah it's nice this isn't a place where to much of it happens. I saw the post soon after they made and it and was going to question the 500$ price range but I decided there are battles not worth fighting.

Long time lurker, first timer register...er?

Welcome aboard! I was in the lurking boat for awhile too but hopping in really made RPG Maker a lot more fun for me I hope you enjoy!

Making physical copies of your game

Normally it's kinda expensive compared to just sending it digitally seeing you do either need to do it manually and you'd need cds, shipping, like all computers can burn to a disk now so that's not a problem if you want to do one at a time with the other option being sending it to a disk copier which cost still a bit of money. Most indie developers now really stick to making physical copies as kickstarter rewards. You would also want to probably have disk art too to make it not just be a standard CD you can pick up in stacks of 75 from Staples. I like what Joseph mentioned with making the comic and stuff because it really adds the extra love to it even if you would be printing those off all by yourself.

Really in the end we live in a world of digital distribution taking out the middleman and providing fast service for a percentage (7% or so normally and some sites make you pay an additional flat rate to that) that kinda has made the whole buying physical games less popular. I'd say if you really think you have an amazing game go ahead and make the jump to make a physical version as fans of the game would be ones to try and snag a copy of it.

Nihilo RM2k3

Thought this was using some obscure game engine for a second since I didn't know about the new RM2k3 icon haha it's looking great still though keep up the good work!

@charblar: Thank you! Do you mean the portrait of her, or her actual sprite? She's quite chubby if you compare her to other characters. I might make her a little chubbier, but I think part of why she doesn't look as chubby comes from her pose. (In her portait.) In-game CG's will definitely show her with more chub. I can definitely give her more of a belly, though! Your spriting style looks awesome, btw. Reminds me of Earthbound, but in high-definition. How did you create the buildings? They are really cool, definitely have a lot of character!

Thank you very much! I'm currently working on A mother series inspired RPG so that's where my graphics are coming from! I think the character bust definitely shows she's not a smaller build and was more referring to the sprite but yes the way they were looking probably didn't help my view of it.

TFW no money right now to get official RM2k3 so some stuff I've been working on for Hanging On.

Wip hotel I've been working on making to the side, the other side is the same as what you can see so you're really not missing that much at how much I have done with it right now.

Town Hall for Nestway, still will probally fix it up a little more later.

Last thing for now, decided to make the sliding doors for nestway not just solid blue, which kinda digs a hole for me to make the rest of the windows that way rip. Also doors open based on player location and close accordingly.

Managed to finish the living room, as well as the sprite of the main character, Mina. A chubby and kind young woman with a big heart and low self-esteem.

This looks really good so far the only comment I have would be the sprite is a little skinny while you describe them on chubby, it more depends on how other character's sprites are going to be I guess but you'll want to keep an eye on that!
