CMS Slowdown

That helps, but with 25 images there's still a lot of slowdown and not all of them display simultaneously when the menu button is pressed.

CMS Slowdown

So I'm implementing my CMS, but, even though I've only got 3 pictures displaying simultaneously (out of the 25 or so the menu consists of) I'm getting loads of slowdown running it as a parallel process - it crashes completely if I set it to autostart. I'm guessing the reason is because each image is 320x240 as I exported it layer by layer. I don't suppose any of you know a nice, quick and easy way to set the canvas to the smallest size possible for each element without cropping any of it?

Summer Screenshot Spectacular!

Looks great Rei, I really like the light spilling onto the floor from the front door. I'm not sure about the stone wall on the room in the far right on the second screenshot though. Maybe keep it consistent with the rest of the walls in the house? That's really just nitpicking though.

I think this is what you're after:

The 9 things that I have learned from the RMNCasts

Nothing wrong with pauses in dialogue unless they're overused. Slow text speed on the other hand, I can do without. I won't go as far to say that it spoiled Ascendence for me, but it was definately annoying.

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

I've only clocked around an hour on it so far so I've not come across much yet. The bosses are supposed to be epic though.

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

Seiken Densetsu 3. I like the battle system, storyline's not doing it for me though. I know it's an old RPG, but I thought by 1995 we'd have advanced beyond princesses and sealing magic in stones. Maybe I'm just missing the appeal though. It's also got a nice time system, which goes by the week I think - Different types of attacks are more powerful on certain days sorta thing.

The straight up BEST Final Fantasy

Crisis Core was a lot of fun, loved the battle system.

Best videogame character.

Gordon Freeman from the Half Life series. Not only does he not say anything ever so there's never any repetitive one-liners to piss you off, but he's a physicist that just goes around killing aliens. With a crowbar. Still wearing glasses and looking like an über geek.

[Resource] Electronic BGM

This is a thousand times awesome. What synth did you use for the lead? It sounds great. Nice bassline too.
