Alright. NITPICKERY ENGAGE.

I will only talk about my game because I haven't played yours yet.

1. Emma and Reese forced the front door from the street. They are their looking for bodies for "autopsy practice" and other creepy/altruistic reasons.
2. Reese is bad at picking locks. So they asked Kade. Kade was at least okay at it. Hmm...
3. Why is Kade good or at least okay at so many things? That is in fact a plot point, it is mentioned in the dialog, and you should indeed be wondering about it. Anyway...I have two words for you...muscle memory. Learning by doing is more realistic than learning by reading books.
4. There is absolutely no humor in EtG. Okay, that's not really true, but nothing important is played for laughs, just some item descriptions.
5. You select skills at the end of character creation. You have not finished the tutorial/character creation segment yet, and hence, you know almost nothing about Everything Turns Gray as a game. You are just hitting every possible design snag in the tutorial, it seems. You are not at all chuck norris like and in fact the things you're doing are really easy (picking bad locks, turning off a gas leak correctly, rebooting a turret) and the enemies you're fighting are weak. The opening "dungeon" of Oblivion is EXACTLY what I'm going for. You use weak spells and weak weapons to beat easy enemies and hazards, and then select your specialization based on which aspects you enjoyed. Later on, once you declare your class (don't pick mechanique for the beta) you will be a badass of a very specific type.


Wow, I am more defensive about EtG than I have been about any of my games since at least high school. Weird. Better than not caring, I guess?

That type of attitude will ultimately make you "friends" with girls instead of "lover". Women despite what you think want a man in charge and not a pussy boy. Not EVEN GOING TO TOUCH that other stuff you said, dude, except to say that a good relationship should not be a power struggle but a partnership. No one should take the upper hand, and it is most important to be RESPECTFUL of a long-term partner. That doesn't mean calling them names or keeping them in their place... you can show your own courage without insulting a girl. Just proving you have a life outside of her works just fine.
