I created a video for a different shootout scene, although I won't create a video for this one. There is a lot going on in this screenshot, but this shootout scene works like this:

You strafe left to right, avoiding enemy fire, returning enemy fire and hiding behind pillars. The pillars release electric energy, so you have to be careful because if you are hiding behind a pillar at the wrong time you will end up being electrified! All the while this happens, your partner Jessica handles the guys on the side line (notice she squashed Vesta Soldier Blue on the left side and knocked out Vesta Soldier Yellow on the right side).

If you like what you see, please remember to subscribe! Thank you.

@Clareain_Christopher and @Galv, thank you for the comments! All of these maps are still in the works and not finalized, but they are pretty close to done. Most maps only need a tint screen added to them, although others have intended objects pending too.

Please be sure to subscribe. This is my first RM2K3 game (experience) and I would like my product to be available to everyone.

Wow! Now that is a great shootout scene. Thank you for sharing that with me Killer Wolf. Although I will not change what I have already implemented, your video does give me an idea for another mini game. :-)

Hi Zadok! And you are spot on. Sythe will show up here and there throughout the entire game. He is one of those characters that shape many events that Jaquio will encounter. He isn't the head honcho, but he is close to it!

@Deckiller Thank you!

Ha! I feel the same way. Those definitely were the good ole days!

And there is no variety of Edicius. When you use this ability, it is used and works the same for every character. I guess the challenge is figuring out which characters are best suited for the ability. For instance, later in the game a woman named Freya joins your party. If you give her Star Light, it becomes very noticeable that her healing abilities are superior to everyone else. In this situation, I don't believe you would want your main healer with this ability. In fact, it makes more sense to group her around other characters with this ability so that she can heal them after the ability is used. But then again, it is up to you. Regardless of what you choose, the "No Newb Left Behind" system will save you in most cases. At least until you get very deep into the game, in which you will probably have to start grinding BP to make up for the poor setup (strategy) you have deployed. And grinding BP won't be so terrible, there are so many mini games that grant BP that you will be ok, e.g. Garfian racing (like chocobo racing), Umatzi (it's a card game), battle arena (doesn't every good RPG have this?), and more.

I hope this answers you question.

-==Combo Demonstration (RM2K3)==-

@Zadok: Thank you for viewing my video and responding! So let me answer your questions.

1) There is a limit to the amount of prep points you can accumulate. The limit increases as you level the Combo ability. So at level 1, the limit is 4 prep points and each prep rewards 1 prep point per round. As you begin to level, you receive more rewarded prep points per round, and the limit increases to match the increased cost of using the stronger abilities. It is possible to perform many lower attacks, by stringing together a 4 or 5 chain low-attack combination. But generally, your best bet is to use your strongest abilities. But this is not always the case. For example, I personally prefer Jaquio's third combo ability over all others because it does damage and heals him afterwards. So I incorporate that ability into most of the combo chains I do.

2) Unfortunately there are no team attacks. That would be awesome though!! The only team attacks that I can think of are done by the battle NCPs. Those are the guys that stand on the sideline as you fight. The above video actually shows one such battle NPC named Ashtar. In the scene that is portrayed in this video, you eventually gather up to three NCPs (Violet, Ashtar and Tau). Ashtar and Tau attack individually, but they also combine their attacks to do a more powerful attack. And Violet heals. Unfortunately, you cannot control these characters, and they are not in every battle sequence/scene. In fact, they are only in a couple scenes the entire game.

Lol, if you like my taste in music I like your taste in music! And you are right, I played the original Ninja Gaiden game so much on the NES that I had to eventually start blowing in the cartridge just to get the game to work!

And you are pretty much correct about Edicius. The video is probably misleading on what happens when you use Edicius because the transition into Victory was too sudden (I'm fixing this). But what happens is this. Using Edicius will set your HP to 1, even if you miss. That is the trade off for this ability. But the amount of damage it does, if successful, will not be lower than your current HP (not to be confused with your max HP!). So if your HP is 211 upon using this ability, you will not do less than 211 HP when you use this ability. Bonus damage comes from luck. Luck also effects hit %. The level of Edicius effects both damage bonus and hit %.

If you plan to get this ability, I suggest trying to level Edicius to level 3 as quickly as possible. You only have a 40% change at missing at this level. By the time Edicius is level 6 you cannot miss at all! This ability does work on most bosses. If your setup is good, you can even "one-shot" some early bosses. But spending BP to make sure Edicius remains powerful is costly. Figuring out your attack approach won't be so simple, you will definitely have to put some thought into it.

@ShinZero I am happy my game has caught your interest, and thank you for the compliment. Please continue to check back for more information on updates and tips about the game! Also, if you notice anything that should be corrected (fixed) feel free to let me know. Take care!
