Fallen Wings

2 things come to mind:

- check what the NPCs say when giving directions; sometimes it isn't clear where you need to go
- this is a major pet peeve I have about RPGs regarding mapping: how you sometimes exit a screen and in the next one are facing a whole different way (I don't really expect you to fix this!)

What is the best part about the music industry?

post=136592
The best thing? That people can still make great music despite its existence!

I agree with kentona. I haven't listened to the radio in many, many years. Commercial radio is basically an oligopoly, as well as the record companies. Crap like so-called the music related stuff (with artist way on the downside of their artistic abilities) on MTV and VH1 doesn't help its image either. Lots of it is hype and style over substance. Not to mention the use of auto-tune (anybody can sing nowadays and not sound off-key nowadays!).

On the flipside, there's also some good music coming out. IMHO, probably not as much as before, although now it is possible to find great, obscure stuff that's great thanks to the internet!

Works for me! (I mean your character)

The article about RMN game ratings that I submitted was accepted:

Thanks to kentona for his help regarding inserting images.

A Quick Look at RMN Ratings

comment=29143
This is a lot of effort and it is informative, yet all I am taking away from this is "my games are better than average!".

Let's see, you have 2 completed which show 3 stars each, which is the definition of RMN average rating. Now if you were to calculate an average for your rated games: Frog, The Collector, 3.25 (2 reviews); Sore Losers, 3.41 (6 reviews). How RMN rounds to those to 3 is beyond me and precisely one of the points I mentioned in my article didn't address. Just to let you know, as a reviewer you have made 45 reviews so far, given them an average 3.32 rating. That doesn't mean you're necessarily biased (after all rating is a subjective matter). Perhaps you have been lucky to choose overall better than average games to rate or a slightly nicer than average reviewer without knowing it (almost 58% of your reviews were 3.5 or higher).

Then again, I did use the words "Quick" and "Speculative".

Question Regarding Saving: Anywhere, or through Priests?

comment=29121
Or, actually, I think I'll only allow saving on the World Map!

Although that's not quite what I had in mind, that could work as well. Since most of the time you wouldn't be close to a priest.

Fallen Wings

I've been playing your game. One suggestion: you could use a few more signposts.

Question Regarding Saving: Anywhere, or through Priests?

If you plan to only allow saving through a priest in town, take that into account when setting enemy difficulty. Perhaps you can also consider to allow saving at some points in the game as yet another option.

Dragon Fantasy: Origins Preview Video

I also look forward to it (in my case, it's in my top 10), since I quite a bit of old schooler myself.

RPG Maker ???

I also don't mind the RM it's made on. Although, RM2k3 games are tricky if their developers forget to put some resources since there's no universal RTP for it. I have played some a few games on other engines, but none of them seem to have player-friendly interfaces as RMs have.
