I'd say we could definitely "destroy" the Earth. Why do you think we can't?
A simple reason, my good Gourd. This planet takes care of its own, and punishes that which is not. We invented the most terrifying weapon known to man, and look at the cities we used as its trial run? The planet did not die there. It lived on, and regrew. We humans are indeed arrogant beings, to the point we are willing to compare ourselves to gods. No matter what we do, no matter how far we go, that arrogance will hold us down, and the world will teach us our wrongs.
That is what the disasters continually have shown us, including the earthquakes of japan as of last year.

@Avee: Recycle oxygen like we do in air planes, and all should be fine. I do admit, there would be a sever pollution problem, but that is the sacrifice for power.

Besides, the issue at hand is really a joke. Man, destroying the planet? Preposterous. How arrogant can you be to even assume man has the power to destroy the planet? Such arrogance is near lunacy, thus why I support mass industrialization and expansion on a galactic scale.

I agree. No, I do not believe in global warming.nor can man speed up a pre existing cycle, however...
We can build larger. We can build Bigger.And in the end of the day, that is what truly matters.
So are you saying the emissions have ZERO effect on the cycle?
My point is, this is already a cycle that would have happened without us, and we are possibly speeding things up.
No, I am saying that I want more factories and more large buildings. I want us to build to the point that all of space is covered with the creations of mankind. Why should we care about how much the emissions effect the cycle? We are humans, so relax and watch as the world and space bends to our will.

The infamous trio has emerged to produce... THIS. It is a epicFail. It is manly! And it may just steal your wallet while you are not looking!
Yes, I know I already Let's Played this, but I was looking for something quick and short to try out with me and my crew while we hanged out in my underground lair. XD
Note the Co-stars are Blackcross, a man of a strange accent I met while exploring the finer points of the bladed arts: I thought he stole this one woman's purse, so I drew a sword on him. We are over it now, and are best of friends.
AND~ TeslaGhost, or Ghost of Tesla, a master of the explosive arts! Literally. He has regrown about 49% of his hand since his last experiment, and I met him as a wee lil... Oh, who am I kidding? I just got hit by him and his insanely fast and reckless driving, and we have made history since! Yes, my apartment is underground. Cheaper that way. Free cable~
