Yes, yes, I'm well aware of editing posts and addressing different people. And yes, newcomers should (and typically do) want to learn the rules. What I'm saying is that although the way Link_2112 presented his complaint wasn't that severe, it wasn't very welcoming either. I doubt anyone has ever left a forum because of a double post. Plenty of people have left because they feel unwelcome.
@Link: No need to turn my argument on its head. Stuff like this is something I really do see a lot of, and I'm trying to point out the generally negative way that people here "correct" newcomers. I left for years after signing up on RMN because of precisely that: site negativity. It's nothing personal against you. It's just part of the site culture that I hope people become aware of and try to change.

I figured this might apply to a lot of us. How do you go about promoting your dev page once you've got it up? At what point should you even put up a page for a work in progress?

What makes a video game series?
"Breath of Fire, Dragon Quarter" is a great stand-alone game, but fans of the series tender to dislike how far it deviated from the previous titles. So I agree with Crystalgate. Sometimes distinct games don't belong under the same series title.
