Randomizing chests isn't all that tough :-) It would be fun to see that implimented. I would even go as far as to randomize where they spawn, but that would take a bit of time to design. I'm working on a game that has a fully functional randomized chest contents and locations event.

OMNIS - the Erias Line (DEMO) Review
Just to insert, I actually really liked the time limit for this game. At first I was a little appalled, wondering how much of a crunch it would be. But it worked.
As far as tutorials, can you make them in character? Like have Orphan narrate his own tutorial instead of a black screen? Not sure if it would work or not, but it might keep your pacing a little better.
How long do you expect the full game to be?

OMNIS - the Erias Line (DEMO) Review
Hm, I actually like the "feel" of the opening credits. They just drag. Some of them already appear over scenes and not just on a black screen. Perhaps you could still have them all, but insert them at other parts of the scene? I've seen professional games show credits even during gameplay, and I think that might work with this one.
The part where the two MCs say their goodbyes may be a nice place to have them talk about why they are there and what their personal goals are instead of just their mission objective.
I admit, I pulled up a dictionary for "creche." ;-)
Don't be disappointed! Your game is great. Honestly, when I read the story on the download page, I thought it was too ambitious to pull off well. So I was really impressed when the entire tone shifted at the train station and it was still just as good. You managed to create a whole world that that felt involved and consistent, not just a couple isolated dungeons. Although the town did feel pretty empty in comparison.

Legacy Reborn Review
Hiya. Actually, I think the non-talking NPCs are ok. My notes happened as I was playing, so it took me by surprise is all. I like that there are so many NPCs, and the not talking fits the quick flow of the gameplay. The wasteland monsters can cause Stun, which is a pain after the 5 years when you only have a party of 1.
I never cared when Miho was blinded because she has spells. But the main guy only has physical attacks. Overall, the game was fun, but the statuses kinda got in the way more than I think most players would like.
Was it intentional to have chests respawn?

@Elder: Haha- so what happens if you don't have the slips to buy that card? I had exactly 301. And that's good about Dillon's hair. It was a little off, but I ran with it.
@Marrend: Yeah, make more of Legacy Reborn! It seems like such a whimsical game to add to, I'm sure you can pump out new content quickly.
