Heartache 101 ~Sour into Sweet~
^ It's in my plans :) It won't be the next game...the game I'm currently working on has virtually nothing in common with this one. But the next sim I make will have a very high chance of being either an outright otome game or a galge/otome game hybrid. Awhile back I considered adding an Otome Mode to Heartache 101, but it didn't pan out, so I definitely would like to come through for female players next time around.

RMN v4.3 approaches! Command?
I think the notification system is RMN's best feature, too. One way to organize or filter it would be by one's relationship to the game (developer/tester/subscriber).
For the resource section, just gotta be careful not to let this become one of those places where people start upping resources with descriptions like "credit to the original authors, whoever the hell they are".

Cool! I tried to assign zodiac signs based on the little I know (was able to research) of what they're supposed to mean.
Battling in games, but.. why?
You level up on Yahoo Answers by answering peoples' questions about random things, which might say something to how universal the appeal of leveling up is.

If you write story for this game, even your minor characters will live on in the works of others :) I should be advertising this fact more.
Selecting the right medium: Intrinsically motivated work
Perfect Cherry Blossom...think I played that one. Leastways I'm positive I've been subjected to screens that look exactly like that one.
Anyway, concerning the topic, I think the fact that you can make a game on Rpgmaker without everything having to be original is its appeal. A generic battle system is provided for you. A generic player interface is provided. Generic sprites are provided. Generic sound effects, music, animations, etc. You should want to replace as many of those things as you can, but the fact that you don't have to is what allows hobbyists to actually complete an RPG. You don't have to do everything; that's the beauty of it.
