The gay marriage debate...

Hmmm... I feel like we're really getting off track here. I know I said some... not so well supported statements about polygamy and human-animal relationships, but I only tried to use those as examples of how I felt about freedom. I guess some people took those comments a bit more seriously than meant them to be taken.
Anyway, I'm still interested in what people think about the whole "changing the name of marriage for legal reasons" thing. Any new thoughts?
I don't believe in "separate but equal." Marriage is marriage. I don't see why the name needs to be changed other than to appease bigots.

The whole reason our nation states have various benefits/leniencies for married couples is because they're going to be having (and hopefully raising) children. Gay couples aren't going to be doing that, so they should remain taxed as two single individuals.
The nimrods running the gay rights movement wanted to have their cake and eat it too. Now there's no cake. Idiots.Uh...

Equipment weight/Encumbrance limit in RM2K3?
I'm currently working on a project in RM2K3, and one of the things I've always wanted to include is an encumbrance limit based on your strength stat. Well I can easily do that part of it, I can't seem to figure out a way to assign a weight value to items. I figured I could do this with variables, but I'm kind of stumped at the moment. Does anyone know a why I can do this?
