Longtime fan of the gam creation but has never really gotten very far with it, you can find me making a rare "there isn't an SMBX event going on right now" appearance but I only truly exit hibernation for dem sweet Mairo bois
I'd like to imagine I'm a nice guy but emphasizing too much on it is self-indulgent and not stating as such is passive - I'd like to think of myself as an imply-ey guy
On the rare occasion I might actually be useful to you I'd be more than happy to help as long as it requires absolutely no codey or imagey stuff, seriously I have just enough brain cells to breath, I have no chance of picking up actually useful skills for game design

Well it isn't 8-bit (I can't remember how that conversation went but it went somewhere in the direction of use 8-bit) so tell me, update (downdate?) the music to 8-bit or just fix the music?

I added Hidden Oasis, a desert "progression" level, feedback guys?
EDIT: Ahhhhh, I played DarklordKeinor's level and I realized just how short a progression level is, so I wonder if I should shorten the level or change it's type. Oh crap!
Darklord didn't include his graphics, was that intentional or not?
Also Darklord, the exit to your level dosen't work...

I think I like the idea of the King having Link gather all the Triforce pieces but then

Simple, but effective. I like the idea. Where does Zelda fit into this plot? Is she being imprisoned or something?
The king "needs" the triforce to "save" Zelda from a curse (who just turns up imprisoned in the dungeon beneath the castle anyway)

If anything, they'd be easier to implement since we're more familiar with Mario mechanics than Link ones. It's not like you'd be playing as her in every other level or something. I think you're blowing this a little out of proportion.
why try to shoehorn Toad/Sheik into this? What does that add to the game?

Would that reset your character back to Link, though?
I'm in agreement that the game should NOT be two-player. I still think Sheik is a neat idea, though, and having some levels designated for her wouldn't be too much of a stretch. Having a few sections like that breaks up the gameplay and adds a little variety.
Just put a link block and the corresponding link block wall in front of every level, stops people from being Sheik, every level ends in the same way, problem solved, you may enter as Shiek, but you must play as Link...

It would be difficult to explain with a screenshot so I will attempt to explain...
When you enter SMBX level editor it's a gray screen with your toolbox at the bottom and your level screen at the top-left, now on the top-left side of this level screen, I can place blocks and whatever without cause for concern, on the bottom-right side of the level screen the cursor disappears and I am unable to place anything. Increasing the screen size, using XP compatibility and re-installing the program have all proven ineffective, erm... SOS?
EDIT: Notably, It works whilst you're testing (But that won't work for designing levels)
EDIT II: I just found out quite how many errors SMBX has on this computer, I'll have to switch computer...
