It has been a very long time since I have been on this website or hosted any games on it. Last message I left was sometime back in 2011, so obviously I have been on a lengthy hiatus. I apologize, but I am aiming to begin fresh and new with nothing tying me down or back due to what I previously had so all my previous games have been deleted from the site.

I will leave nothing on this website, except for very small things - updates every great once in a blue moon, etc. - and make no promises to anyone.

Please refer to the game titled Eriscadia for any further information.

The panorama is a nice idea, but it looks far too grainy, any way to smooth-en it out a little?

Other than that, this is a very nice shot! ;)

Perhaps a generic silhouette (shadowy) face that you can see that looks like a monster...?

(Very bad) Example:

Variable Village Review

Wow... Thank you for the honest review DG, I appreicate it.

I knew the game wasn't going to be the best, but it was my very first attempt in horror genres, so I knew there would be "some" failing points. Not enough resources would be my only real reason this wasn't a true horror game I suppose...

I am glad you enjoyed the music and the actual area you played in, I had made sue to at least work on that one quite a bit.

Sorry about the glitches... The event, I have set to remove so I have no clue why it didn't remove them after they were done being used, real confused on that one - but I'll look into. As for the bug with the menu, I had posted that this was basically a bug-check download, the bug with the faces has been fixed. ;)

The dialogue... I struggled with it, believe it or not; I wanted her to show great concern for her son, but then also show a strong desire to save the people of the town she was trapped in. I wasn't sure how to get that across and yet still keep her afraid, I was hoping I had done a fairly good job at it, but I guess I didn't... :/ At least this leaves it open for another try later on. (BTW, you didn't say whether you liked how I handled the ending of the game... I'm real curious about that, would you mind sharing?)

Thanks again and I really do appreciate your review of my first completed game! :)

@a_h:
The monsters will be moving at a decent rate to allow evasion if desired, but in some areas I have made certain to not really allow you to evade due to the fact that to progress in one area particular you need to be a specific level... So that's really the only time I would force the battling upon the players, other than that, you can evade most monsters/villains at any given time.

Variable Village

Aargh! Oh, I am sooooo sorry! That was my fault... I forgot about encryption. >.<
Yeah, hang on a minute, I'll re-upload. :)

EDIT: This is going to take some time, my machine is slow... I'll have tore-upload the game tomorrow, until then, I am taking the Download down so no one else has this issue...

Thanks for the bug reports folks! This should be fixed tonight and re-uploaded first thing tomorrow! :)

Variable Village

Yeah, I was afraid of this... I'll have to up-load the file for that. I'll link it for everyone at the top here in just a minute.

*Wipes brow of sweat*
Oh thank goodness! That's a large load off my back with that then... Must just be me. Thanks! ;3

What is the name of the script you are using to display place names? I have seen it before and always valued its simplicity and neatness.

It's called "Shanghai Simple Script - Location Name", if you want, PM me and I can send it to you. Credit of course has to go to Shanghai, but none the less. :3

Variable Village

Wow! 0.0 I got two people to play the game tonight and 1 of them to write a review even! Thanks to both of you!

@Dark Gaia: Yeah, I knew the game was lacking in the actual horror department, but, I have never made an actual horror game before and I was working with bare minimum chipsets. I wasn't expecting it to be the number 1 best horror game out there, but I figured it would be a great start. Thank you very much for being honest though and I hope the review is at least decent. :)

EDIT:
By the way, did anyone have trouble with the audio? That was a major concern of mine...
