Alcohol and/or Drugs.

I think the strongest argument for the legalization of many drugs is public safety!

Research of the alcohol prohibition eras in the US and Canada shows that prohibiting alcohol resulted in huge increases in violence and illegal trade. The mafia had a difficult time in the United States until the prohibition of alcohol, for example, which is believed to be solely responsible for the growth of the criminal organization that persists today.

All illegal drug use is, naturally, linked to illegal trade. How often does a college student look at the marijuana he is smoking and think about the drug cartel that probably produced it? Illegal trade necessitates violence, because there is no government body providing protection and a fair market for the product.

Kentona: Where did you get that martini recipe? That is the wrong ratio. Too dry! Also, a standard martini glass comfortably holds exactly 4 fluid ounces of liquid - four shots, or 3-4 drinks.

I am serious about martinis >:(

DS Games!

My favorite DS original game is
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker.

My favorite non-original DS games are
Final Fantasy IV
Dragon Quest IV

So I would recommend those.

You guys recommend so many games and like half of them aren't even out yet. A huge list is not helpful at all!!

DQIV is okay. I like it because I loved DWIV on the NES, but I am HATING the translation. "Wee bairns" my ass.

Each region in the game has a regional dialect. I think it is supposed to be intentionally campy. The original was unintentionally campy.

I'm afraid it's had to come to this!

The Hell? That's a really lame excuse man. A good number of us have jobs, classes, girlfriends and social lifes and we're all still active.

I have all of those things and I only have time to post during breaks at work. If I did not have internet access during my breaks at work I would probably stop posting at the forum too.

Left 4 Dead: not your standard zombie game

If you haven't tried half life 2 because you hated 1 (I couldn't get through 1 personally.) I strongly, strongly, strongly recommend you at least give half life 2 a try.

I played through half of Half-Life 2 before I gave up. It was really boring. The level design was not really that creative and all of the puzzles were really bad. The puzzles were particularly bad in the beginning, when they were obvious tech demos for the Havok physics engine (I recall stacking cinderblocks on one end of a see-saw - COME ON). I am not understanding where this "great writing" meme always comes from, because I didn't see it? Whenever the scenario would be something more creative and novel - like the zombie or the insect army stages - I always thought that it was sloppy and kind of juvenile or something.

Really, the feeling I got from it was the same kind of feeling I get when I am playing a bad amateur game for review. I felt like I was obligated to play it because it was popular, but I was not having any fun. It was a chore.

Yeah so I don't know man I am convinced that the Half-Life 2 following is like the entire internet playing a trick on me because I don't really see it. It makes more sense that everyone on the entire internet has agreed to play a trick on me and pretend they like it a lot more than they did.

Feldschlacht IV Call-Out, Mark II

Okay, well nevermind then. I won't wait up for you any more. >:(

I'm afraid it's had to come to this!

It's because the Moronic forum no longer counts toward post count.

In this topic I briefly comment on every video game I've ever played.

Honestly that game looks and seems like it will and does suck ass.

It is set in the kingdom of Salsaville.

Alcohol and/or Drugs.

I thought a martini was 2 drinks :(

Traditional martini recipe:

3 shots dry gin
1 shot extra dry vermouth
Shake vigorously with a generous amount of cubed ice (this is important - you want ice flakes in your martini)
Serve with olive or cocktail onion as garnish

Alcohol and/or Drugs.

According to an online survey I took recently I drink more than 90% of people. I drink every night - almost always a martini (straight up, dry, shaken, with olive), or decent whiskey on the rocks (I like Jameson and Johnnie Walker). I also usually have a glass of wine with dinner. My daily alcohol intake is almost always exactly the equivalent of 4 to 5 drinks (a martini is about 3.25 drinks).

I do not feel the need to drink; I just like to! I never party anymore and I think the last time I was drunk was last summer.

It is also worth noting I had never had alcohol until I was 18, when drank to be polite, and the second time when I was 20 (it was again to be polite). I never bought alcohol for myself until I was 22.

I am completely uninterested in truly mind-altering drugs, like marijuana on one end and speedball on the other. I don't know why but it just doesn't interest me.

I drink a little too much... I've gotten alcohol poisoning twice. I usually have pure liquor in my cup and a drop of coke (Coca Cola or Pepsi, not cocaine xD) just to color it black. I've tried to cut down, but It's pretty hard.
What I have done though, I've stopped buying alcohol and I only drink if others buy for me... So I think I'm doing a little better now :)

I have had alcohol poisoning twice, too. I completely remember the entire night, so I suspect that when people claim they had "blacked out" they are lying. Both times I was on the verge of dying and could not even move in bed without throwing up the following day and did not eat for over 24 hours - but I never blacked out.

Watch out for alcoholism man . . . you don't want to become an alcoholic and ruin the novelty of enjoying a drink. You can never go back.
