Pokémon RMN Version
author=Fomar0153I like/agree with everything in this post.
I thought I'd mess around a bit with the data from that list:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/74816991/rmnmon/dual.html
(borrowed css and layout from: http://pokemondb.net/type/dual )
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/74816991/rmnmon/normal.html
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/74816991/rmnmon/fire.html
(and then got bored doing it by hand)
If you'd like I could create a bulbapedia style encyclopaedia of RMNMON?
Anyway, congradulations to everyone, this was a lot of fun! I can't wait to see the sprites, and then to finally play the game and see all of my Pokemon.
Pokémon RMN Version
author=Ratty524It's coming. It would be going much faster, but Link seems to be a busy guy and isn't on a lot to give feedback on what I sent him.
By the way, how is Joban coming along?
Progress is definitely being made though. Once we can both really agree on a few things it'll probably be done very soon afterward.

I like the lamp fungus Ratty! I didn't realize it before but that type combination is very interesting, Grass/Electric. Since Electric only has one weakness, which Grass resists, the combination adds no extra weaknesses and gains one resistance Grass wouldn't have normally.
It would also be nice to have one place to go to where one can see all of your submissions and their details, because otherwise the only way to find them is to go combing through the 37 page posts section.
EDIT: Also, just out of curiosity, did Nerdy get inspiration from the Pomparunt line for his Afropup line in terms of visuals? It's fine if he did, it's just the similarities between the two would be quite a coincidence otherwise.

I think its a horrible idea to let one guy do legendary pokemons...
To be fair a lot of legendary duos had the same art style and theme to them, like Groudon/Kyogre and Dialga/Palkia, so letting one person do both makes sense. I do agree though that the two (Carvora and Atardis) look very similar, probably a bit too much so; I would think the opposite of a bug would look less like a bug. I'm sure Nerdy can fix it if it's an issue, though, and if not then I'm sure we can learn to live with it.
By the way Ratty, I don't think anyone's going to take up your offer of designing the lightbulb mushroom, so you should just make it. It is your idea after all, so you could probably do it better than someone else.
Pokémon RMN Version
Ratty, I see you like my ideas so much you're taking my posts for your own.
EDIT: I would like to wait for Ratty's approval before I do that though. Also, how would you like me to give you the finished text files?
author=Link_2112This is actually my favorite part, so if Ratty doesn't mind I'd be happy to do it for you.
Ugh, I give up. I don't like this part of creating pkmn. If someone would like to finish it up, go ahead. It's basically half done.

author=jin69Just let these other guys finish their designs. You've done your part to contribute to this project, now let the rest of the community do their job.
Allow me to do the fossil before it ends. Lol.
author=iddalaiI think this is the best course of action honestly. If they turn up and say they can't do it, give the positions to someone else. It should be okay if the fossils and legendaries take more time, since these are important slots. Besides, maybe this way we can have more community involvement in these Pokemon!
Personally, I'd like to hear from seiromem and Nerdybastard about what's wrong, since they reserved those slots and all.
Unless they take too long to come around :/
EDIT
author=Link_2112Well your designs have been talked about for a while now, so hopefully Ratty will let you submit it anyway.
I missed it

I might make it psychic/dragon...
What if it were a dragon who produced noxious fumes in which it could make a light show, so it would make sense to make it a POISON/Dragon?
Pokémon RMN Version
It'd be cool if the Bitwroar people were like the RPG Maker 95 users, and Carvora was like a "bug" in the program.
So then his opposite would be like a patch of some sort, or a new RPG Maker.

Isn't that still a little too big? If you watch the video Skrewpent is too big on the battle screen with 6+ fold-tiers (or however you call those round segments which make up Skrewpent's body), which leads me to think it either needs to be scaled down a bit more or be reduced to 5.

You pretty much answered my question about the music with your reply. I'd just like this game to feel like something new, though I'd expect it to still be in the 3rd generation style.
Talking again about the map, I thought of an interesting thing for one of the "revisited" places; subterranean caves. You could encounter Water Pokemon as well as the other cave mooks (speaking of that, do we have a bat Pokemon or a common Rock type Pokemon for caves?), and once you get access to Surf and Waterfall you can get to other parts of the overworld or underworld which you've never been before (maybe some of them as post-game content).
We could also do more than one of these "revisited" places, but then that depends on how big you want this overworld to seem. Another idea for that would be, like I said, a great sprawling forest to which there are different entrances that lead to different exits, and new areas can be "unlocked" the more HMs you have.
Also, does Pokemon Essentials allow sprite animations? I'm talking about the kind in Emerald, where the "animation" was literally just two frames of the same Pokemon with varying visual effects applied to them. Those kinds of animations wouldn't be too hard to make, I imagine, although I don't really know since I've never tried to make them.
