Pokémon RMN Version
Looks great so far Ratty! Although I have to ask, are you expecting to keep the same exact music from R/S/FR/LG/E?
Pokémon RMN Version
halibabica, if you're looking for an appropiate egg group for the Inkling line I'd suggest the Amorphous egg group.

Just some thoughts about the map...
All of that aside, I never got a yes-or-no answer about whether or not Curvri is going to be used as an early-route Pokemon.
- If the Other Cycling Road is supposed to be abandoned and such, then it would make sense for there to be another way to get to Feechur Town from Signthery City. As of right now, the only way to get to and fro either of them on foot is through the Other Cycling Road, and if that's the case then it doesn't make logical sense for it to not be maintained.
- I think it'd be cool to have some "same-area-development" as the game goes on, or in other words to have to revisit a place you've been earlier in the game to progress only this time you're going through a different section of the same place. Think of Dark Cave or Ruins of Alph from the second generation or Mt. Coronet from the fourth generation. It wouldn't necessarily have to be a cave system, maybe like a forest or something, but I think that having something like that makes the region interesting and also gives it more coherency and connectivity.
- I'd like to have some earlier exposure to good Water-types before I get Surf. From what this sketch tells me the first time I'll be really exposed to sea-based Pokemon is when I travel along Route 15, which is fine except it seems like that's rather late-ish in the game. I never liked that all of the best Water-type Pokemon were only obtainable after your 3rd or 4th gym battle, since it's during those gym battles I get to level up and bond with my Pokemon the most.
- While we're talking about that, is there going to be some way I can re-challenge the gym leaders or trainers I've already encountered? I mean I'm sure Game Freak made their Pokemon games with the intention of creating an incentive for multi-player interaction by creating only so much single-player content, but with this game we won't have the luxury of connectivity between players. As such I think something to be thought about when making this game is to make it fun and challenging throughout the playthrough, and to keep in fun and challenging even after one beats the Elite Four and such.
All of that aside, I never got a yes-or-no answer about whether or not Curvri is going to be used as an early-route Pokemon.

Hey Ratty, in your post you said my Pokemon were approved, but in the thingy above they say they're denied. You aren't playing cruel mind games with me are you!? Q_Q
As to how to obtain it in the game, I think you can get it from an in-game trade (as if you were "saving" it from an "unworthy" guardian) or by breeding. This doesn't have to be set in stone and it might make more sense if I did let Borc be caught in the wild, but I hope that you see where I was coming from with this concept.
EDIT
author=Ratty524Drill Run and Dig are both moves that, to me at least, involve digging underneath the surface of the earth and attacking something from there. I figured that is well within the means of a hedgehog to learn how to do, whereas Earthquake definitely seems more for a Pokemon which either knows the layout of the ground very well (a Ground-type) or is heavy enough to cause tremors in the ground.
Curveat- APPROVED!
- Since it can learn Drill Run and Dig, why can't it also learn Earthquake as a TM? Up to you whether or not you want to add it in.
author=Ratty524In Borabol's Pokedex entry, I mentioned that it only appeared to trainers it found worthy of raising it's offspring, and in Borc's entry I mentioned how they are rarely seen outside of their "family pack." The idea I was trying to convey here is that Borabol are rather selective of what their next generation is exposed to, seeing as in general they like to keep themselves away from everything else by living at high altitudes. This "selectiveness" is even conveyed by their interaction with humans; they understand that a human trainer who catches it will probably want it to breed sometime in the future, so they only appear to any human they find worthy of raising any potential future offspring.
Borc- APPROVED!
- If you say it's not found in the wild, then how did you envision it being obtained? At least you still specified that it's habitat is Caves, so it's not a deal-breaker

author=halibabicaJust a quick note here, Black Sludge hurts the Pokemon holding it unless it's a Poison type, in which case it heals it. If you want Black Sludge to be a held item for this Pokemon, you might want to consider making it a Poison type. Besides that though I actually like this concept a lot.from Ratty524For better or for worse, here you go. I don't know if you have any Psychic/Dark types yet, but I hope these two can prove themselves worthwhile.
... Now I'm curious.
EDIT
author=MiracleThank you :D
so far, this, mantennae and tomamight are my favorite RMon right now.
Pokémon RMN Version
author=jin69I sincerely hope you're not serious. I understand how you might be upset that some of your accepted submissions run the risk of not ending up in the final product, but you also submitted 18 and counting Pokemon to this event; surely you'll still have plenty getting into the game.
Come on guys, wasn't it first come first serve??? Lol...
It's a matter of letting more people show their creative side and contribute to the project. I'm sure you can understand that.
Pokémon RMN Version
I'm not trying to advertise my submissions, but I did originally make the Curvri/Curveat line to be early encounter Pokemon, if you think that'd help. I do already have 4 submissions in, though, so if you think that my having Curvri and Curveat in the game would be too much I'd completely understand.
EDIT: Also, in that case, I'll submit Fire/Flying versions of Borc and Borabol.

author=Ratty524This made me really happy. I'm excited to see the new submissions, and also, even though I'm not realistically expecting them to make the final roster since I already have 4 Pokemon in this, this means that I at least get to submit and get feedback on my remaining Pokemon designs.
On that noteI will lift my ban on new submissions to this event. I'm going to update the event page and the Complete Pokemon List accordingly.
While we're talking about that, I have a question for Ratty about Borc/Borabol. You already said they weren't going to make it for being Dark-types, so what if I made them Fire/Flying types instead? I'll remake their level-up and manual movepool, and pretty much everything else can stay the same, if that would help you out.
EDIT: Also submitted Curvri and Curveat.

I would suggest something similar to what kentona said, except a bit more systematic.
Once the deadline is reached, and the final pool of accepted Pokemon is determined, I would start by accepting evolutionary lines from each member one at a time. In other words, accept one evolutionary line from kentona, one from jin69, one from Jparker1984, and so forth until every member who submitted an ACCEPTED entry has a Pokemon of their own in the game.* After that, if there are more spots to be filled, then start accepting more evolutionary lines from those with more to contribute.
This way, the final Pokemon roster would be a larger and more diverse representation of the RMN community, and everyone who wanted to be in it has their foot in; those who wanted to submit more Pokemon will still have them in the game, just not so much that 10% of the Pokemon are coming from them.
* - Of course type considerations and such would be involved in this process, but again with what kentona said, we wouldn't want to reject a members one and only accepted entry.

I really want to keep my word on the people who sent in accepted submissions though, as in if their submission is accepted, it's in the game. Otherwise it would be a bit of a disservice. I still see where you are coming from, though (there are so many things I should have done differently with this event).
I understand your point, but I think it's also a bit of a disservice to other members who haven't had a chance to submit yet to leave them with little or no opportunity to contribute. Unless I'm mistaken, this is supposed to be a community event with Pokemon made by the members of RMN. Some of the contributors have submitted quite a lot of Pokemon, and while I'm not saying that's a bad thing (this event has a lot of quality submissions to it), it does leave something of an over-representation of specific creative styles (meaning that there could be 10% of the Pokemon all with the same kinds of design direction to them) when the Pokemon roster should represent a melting pot of the RMN community.
As we have seen, there are people who know what the deadline is to this event, and are probably working on their one or two design concepts to contribute as the deadline rolls around. It would be a shame to turn them away simply because some other members were able to get their submissions in quicker and earlier than they did, because their submissions probably have merit to them and can add a kind of diversity to the game no one else could because it's a completely new person submitting it.
On another note, you yourself (unless I'm very mistaken) said that you could not have possibly predicted how quickly the roster was going to fill up; as such, it's completely understandable if you change your original rules about this event due to extraneous circumstances.
So personally I agree with the notion that the WIP roster should be extended and the final roster decided after December 1st, but the decision is ultimately yours, since you're the one in charge and will be doing most of the work (though I'm sure some of us would be more than happy to help if you needed it).

matthewac95Mantennae - APPROVED
- Love it to pieces. This will make a good sea encounter.
Borabol - denied
- Sorry about this one. After Tikurai I've pretty much reached my limit on Dark types. Still a solid entry, though.
Curvri - ???
- Don't know if a multi-stage normal/electric like this one will fit in to the line-up, but see below.
Well, I can't say I'm not disappointed about Borabol, but at least Mantennae got in! I'm happy you like him!
I'm confused on the Curvri verdict, see below.
author=Ratty524
Those who have submitted new lines that didn't make it STILL HAVE A CHANCE, however. If the event deadline is reached, and there are still missing slots to a pokemon's evolution/pre-evo, then I will open those missing slots to the public. I may need to talk with kentona as to whether I could extend the deadline in case this happens, but hopefully everyone will complete their submissions on time!
So am I supposed to submit Curvri and Curveat (or just Curveat) now, or wait until the deadline comes around, or not submit them at all, or what?
