I feel like I've been playing it about a month...does that count?
Actually 30 in game days have gone past, and since I average about 30-45 minutes per day, I'm probably around 18 hours so far. However since I like the crafting/alchemy/mining/harvesting etc. I have no idea how long it is going to take me to reach the end of the chapter. Is there and event that tells me when I've got there? Or is it a case of when I have no more quests to do I'm done? Because I've still got about 50 sodding hares to kill and the frightened little buggers keep running away from me now.
Not to mention Robert, he's handed me my buttocks on a platter a number of times so far. I'm going to have to climb the rankings quite a bit before I take him on again.

author=Diedrupoauthor=benosHow far have you gotten?
No romancing options? :(
Almost the the end in my case, I think, (I've fought/beat the pirate but not the cloudy/overcast reliant day dude - man it is hard to be circumspect in these posts) and so far not a hint of romance (which I am fine with, BTW, this is sword and sorcery, not Mills & Boon).
Really looking forward to C2 though with the farming option :).

All the hospitable people - would that be a euphemism for 'walk into people's houses and nick their stuff while they are out/not looking'

Roshgard, The gifting thing got me really interested and I started playing around with the gifts for people and the points you get and there is a weird logic to it. Like the Dad who was a great adventurer before he got gnawed by a dragon only really likes gifts you get from taking on a boss, like a gift box or elinium, the smith likes ores and metals as gifts, the lady at the general store likes raw materials like the plants, whilst the baby witch likes made potions, since she teaches alchemy.
There are a couple of clues in the library descriptions, the female innkeeper, whilst happy with provisions (mushrooms, carrots, eggs etc) loves 'cute things and flowers' so that's what she gets when I can find them.
There is a little variation in the days, since on cloudy ones you get more events, as in all the random treasure chests in the town I've found only turn up on cloudy days, and you can't use the anvil or forge on rainy days, but the idea of a seasonal aspect is great.
And I should probably let the actual designers of the game answer. I just wanted to share some of the stuff I've worked out about the gifts, since I really like the aspect of the game.

rpgmaker.net needs your help (again)!
Sent some moola winging your way Kentona, it's not much but it's what I could afford at the moment. Hope it helps.
Really glad to see that the pledged monthly donations look like they will cover the costs for a while (if I'm reading that graph correctly). That should ease your stress levels.

Nope, not harsh at all.
I guess the issue is that I know how all the battles can be fought really easily - not meaning that in a 'WELL IT'S MY GAME SO I WON'T CHANGE IT' way, not at all, it just seems like I'll need to change up some of the nuances a little, because almost every battle in the game is totally possible without dying. I think it might be a case of reducing some HP here or there, or changing up the stats a little, I dunno.
Maybe some sort of guide would help?
Hey sorry I didn't respond to this I was dealing with RL. I see you've put up a demo guide which is a great idea. In regard to balance, it's your call of course, but I am happy you are not a 'WELL IT'S MY GAME SO I WON'T CHANGE IT' type. They are annoying.
I can see others have had problems with the difficulty but some others seem to think they way that you do and have intuitively hit on the best way to defeat what is being thrown at them. Perhaps there just needs to be a few pointer for those of us that don't look at battles the same way you do. Though I must think similarly in other areas since the way to cross the river was immediately clear to me, whilst I read someone else having problems with that.
Anyway thank you for the response, it's always a case of hit-or-miss in these situations and I'm always hoping I get one like yours.
Oh and the water animates for me too.

I just uploaded a new version that fixes the issue you found, nhubi. So you don't have to worry about sending me your save file.
Cool I'll download later. Sorry I was off doing that RL stuff.
Couple of things I found, small one - not sure if this happens every day, but when it is cloudy on the forest plateau to the left of the roof of the house with the never fixed door (sorry the name of the guy escapes me) there is a misplaced shadow, it's the shadow of a tree that isn't there.
Also if you go all the way through the caves and the plains beyond and come back to that house from the back then it's a wreck with what looks like a landslide but the moment you leave the screen back towards the village it resets to the guy fixing his door again.
Big one, in the final level of the cave with all the spiked switches you need to turn off in order to get to the Captain, the tiles with the flag decorations on them appear to be passable. In that I can walk up them, into the black between walls and then walk down any other flag bypassing the spikes completely. Given that there is a flag just to the left of the spike blocked section just before the door to the Captains level and another flag in that section past the spike, I can just bypass that all-together.
I'd take a shot, but I don't know how to do that. I hope the explanation is enough so you know what I mean?

Oh I could beat him, it's just after I beat him my player sprite was stuck in the cave not being able to physically move. I could access the menus, use potions, change equipment, save the game etc, just not go anywhere - and no warping wasn't allowed, I got messages saying I couldn't leave my team behind.
Like I said I'd saved just before facing him so I could replay (and get the same result) or avoid and continue on. However he's got a chest in the alcove behind him and I'd like to be able to get to it.

Um guys I think I may have found a game breaker, after I fought and beat the earth throwing drunk dragon (Langian, I think) I'm stuck. He fades but then the player sprite wont move. I can turn in place but can't actually move anywhere. I have a quick save from just before I took him on so I can continue without that fight but I think he is standing there guarding that chest for a reason and I probably need what is in it.
Anyway I tried it twice with the same result so you may want to have a look at the event after he is defeated and see if there is some movement error.
