NHUBI'S PROFILE
It's only a matter of time until my surname is followed by the word 'syndrome'.

Giadon Saga
Yeah I gave this one a go, but like a few others in this thread I just threw in the towel once I hit the werewolves/healer combo. Try to take out the werewolf and the healer keeps him going, try to take out the healer and the werewolf claws you a new one.
Also, not being able to sell anything in the shops? Sorry the whole point of upgrading (ooh, look I bought a couple of black katana's) means I should be able to sell my old ones so I can maybe buy a bit of equipment. Seems a little harsh to stop me doing that, and also makes me less likely to keep going when other things get to me (like the werewolves).
I also have to add my two cents to the mapping, the rooms are HUGE with almost nothing in them, the shop keepers are miles from the door with no stock on display, the castle seems to have 3 rooms in total (throne, big brother & Da-Zar's) and miles and miles of corridors, the pub is 14 windows long with 6 tables and a bar in the far corner, in fact apart from the crazy collector lady no-one needs to have rooms that large.
Though the CCL does bring up a point. I really like the humour in this game, humour is a hard one to get right, but this really works for me. I found it hilarious that one of the first quests was to make sure the 'service provider' got paid and then the way the prince was paid back, priceless. The prince is an arrogant so-and-so, but you say he is in his bio and he lives up to it, characters are well rounded and actually interesting and do make me want to keep going.
But oh, those sodding werewolves!

Your RMVX/ACE/XP? game interacting with RMN
author=GreatRedSpirit
1. Sign on to RMN
2. Download AchievementCredentials.exe
3. Run AC.exe which adds credentials (ID and achievements password hash) to registry
4. Play game with RMNAchievements.dll which reads registry with achievements credentials
5. get all achievements by starting the game 1000/1000 horrifying gam score
No need for the user to type in their credentials to any sort of third party authorization reducing the chance of stealing passwords through memory watchers or fake log ins or social engineering. You do it once on a computer and it'll work across all games that support it. You don't need to log in to RMN and deal with notificationsof being signed up to somebody else's game by being added as a developerconfirming achievements whether you got them or not.
More on topic: Maybe I'd use it for ridiculous XTREME challenges and a bonus You Beat the Game.
This, yes.
Sorry I'm not a designer/developer/artist etc of games. I'm a player. Not sure if that means my opinion has no merit on this particular discussion but I wanted to throw my two pennyworth in. I have no issue with this idea at all as long as it is opt-in. You have to choose, not have some process running from the game that identifies when you log in to RMN and goes 'oh, yes you're a member, Games X, Y & Z on your machine have the code for achievements so I'll helpfully tally them up for you and display them.'
Lots of people like getting the little achievement bonuses, personally I like a game to stand on it's own, and I'm playing for myself, not against others. I don't think either view is wrong or right, just a personal choice. As long as everyone who plays games from here, for whatever reason gets to have that choice still firmly in their hands then I think this a great add-on to the site.
Okay, I've used up my pennies. I'll go back to bug-testing now :)

I know you said you were aiming for 'modern' in your dialogue, but 'ya' isn't an English word. 'What do you think?' is still modern phrasing, without resorting to a misuse of register. Unless you are aiming for a Southern US Feel, in which case y'all would have been appropriate.
Screenshots! YAY!
Aren't they cold? I mean they are standing on an ice-field in short sleeves and off-the-should blouses. - Wow, I appear to be channelling my mother right about now.
I like the after shot for the first interior but oddly I prefer the table configuration in the before shot for the second one. Some preference for comfy chairs when I'm at a bar rather than stools, perhaps. Though you appear to have gone for a more rustic look on the second one with the removal of the bookshelf and rugs and the bear pelt on the floor, so I suppose stools fit better.

Questions and Stuff
I think 16 is fine for a crush, that's generally when they hit and usually it's a crush on an older person, look at all the 'schoolgirl in love with rock star' type tropes around. This guy saved her life, she'd be harbouring feelings of gratitude that could easily morph into affection-cum-obsession especially if she's just been reintroduced to him and she's looking at him with new eyes. I'm with Crystalgate on it being safe and even 'normal' as long as there is no sexual tension and no reciprocating/advantage taking on the part of her love interest.
Re the characters, I'm not a huge fan of big parties, quite honestly I dislike having to chop and change to level people up, make choices about character development that sort of thing. It detracts from the story for me. What you could do is a split party with exchanges between the two, or member specific side quests. Where say there is a mythical musical instrument high up in a cave so Aelina has to be in on the quest but in the meantime there is something in the town that Poppy wants to investigate (with the help of her crush) so you run them as separate parties for a while or you only follow one and then get a report from the others when the party rejoins.
You're not going to be able to make everyone happy. It's your game, you have to be able to make it follow your vision.

Lamia Nox
I'm hoping you won't take this the wrong way, as it is my intention not to insult but to educate, but you obviously got your 'latin' from Wikipedia. Lamia is a Greek word which was latinised, it means vampiric/life absorbing and is generally associated with serpents, not witches. If you are looking for a more accurate translation of the word (which wasn't a part of Roman Culture since they treated soothsayers, hedge-wizards and prophetesses with due reverence) what you are looking for is malefica (like the infamous book used by the witch-hunters of the 15th century the Malleus Maleficarum (or hammer of the witches)). So if the theme is Witch related then the title is more accurately Nox Malefica (latin being a SOV - subject-object-verb language as opposed to English which is a SVO).
Wee Hero
Brady don't worry about it, like I said I missed it. More than likely it was as clear as a bell but I think I was wrapping my head around 'right I can do some stuff in the field, but I can't work on weapons and armour. OK that makes sense, anvil's aren't really portable' and may have missed the 'BTW weapons have different skills, go play and find out which do what.'
Gave it a bit of a longer run through last night but I think I'm going to leave it be for now. I know I like it and will d/l once it's done and I've subbed so I'll know when, but there are a few more demo's out there I want to have a look at to see if they are also going in the right (for me) direction.
Good Luck, I'll be back after the next update ;)

Quick Quest Tutorial
I am really liking the look of this, but then I'm a Quest Journal junky so the more you can put into it, the happier I am.
Also if they are going to be time-related, please do make a note of it. I'm generally a quest as I go type, but there are plenty of people that tend to do the main quest almost to the end and then go back and polish off the side quests. It will be good to have a way of letting them know that if they don't complete it before events unfold then they won't be able to at all. Perhaps even an hourglass or clock logo in the quest description.
