NIN8HALOS'S PROFILE

I'm a college student. I like games. I'm making some with Super Mario Bros X. I also like to watch Let's Plays. Mostly BoboTheVulture and MysteriousJG.

Played a bunch of TT Bros 2.5 tonight. The world map is pretty impressive, but that's about it. Lots of really gimmicky and bad-looking levels.

I forgot to make my Thwimps immune to fireballs! Hali, you might have to fix that for me, unless I need to make other changes to my section; then I'll do it myself when the time comes. Should they also be immune to iceballs?

Judge Levels

Updated Guardians of the Secret per Hali's recommendations.
Updated Starry Night Over the Rhone to make it more difficult for World 5.

Layer shenanigans. No enemies except firebars, buzzsaws, maybe roto-discs, and perhaps thwomps if I feel like it. I want the challenge to come from platforming alone. Its how one goes about making that is the dilemma.

Actually maybe I'll throw in an elevator part to it as well. I dunno.

An elevator could be a problem if the player does something dumb like exiting the area without getting the star and is unable to go back to retrieve it. There are ways around that though.

If you decide to go with the elevator, I'd suggest you make that your entire section. Otherwise it might feel too long.

I'm getting ready to review Persistence of Memory. I'll just go ahead and tell you that I'm approving it. That giant Lakitu at the end scares me though. How do you do custom bosses so well?

MS Paint, IrfanView, and lots of time and practice.

I'm combating a tremendous lack of motivation. It's very depressing to watch.

We're so close to the end! You gotta keep up the fight! Eye of the tiger!

I'm trying to update my levels according to feedback and making a whopping 0% progress on the final level.

Do you have any ideas for it?

Judge Levels

I'm bored. Is anything happening?

Judge Levels

Okay, I added a couple stopwatches to the level, as well as a new bonus room.

I haven't played the level yet, but not having clock power-ups in it is a crime. Sounds like the boss fight is pretty tricky, too...why not incorporate them into it? If the boss is high up and hard to hit, make an array of platforms you can jump up, but fall too quickly if time isn't stopped. So you grab your shell, grab a clock, jump up and kick the shell, then return back down before time starts again.

That sounds terribly complicated. And I don't want to make a boss fight where everything stands still for 10 seconds at a time.

Who the hell is Bricks Road?
Brickroad is a guy that did an lp of the first RMN Bros. Ever since that game, he's made it his policy to trash this series and praise Talking Time Bros, which is the game he worked on.

He played part of the first world of RMN 3 and said the game sucked and moved on.

To be fair, many of his critiques have been valid. Nonetheless, we're gonna make a fun game at the end of the day and that is all that matters.

Oh that guy. Well his level wasn't very good either. Too many signs and ducks.
