The Creator Of Fire Emblem Is Making A New Game Usingā¦SRPG Maker!?!?!?
Yeah, I saw this over at a Fire Emblem fansite. I really hope this SRPG-Maker gets an English translation. ^^ As for contributing stuff to Kaga's fan-work, I have a little too much on my plate right now.

Oh, I won't be gone from the site, just taking a bit of a break from gam-mak. But I AM thinking of re-introducing that JP ( Job Point ) system from the early versions of Enelysion into LoTL ( i.o.w, players could choose what skills they wanted to learn after acquiring JP when defeating foes in battle as well as give the player the ability to choose various Passive abilites ). I want to give the player more flexibility than just customising stats with AP ( Ability Points ) and Crysalis'. If I could find Yanfly's Class-Change script, I'd probably implement that as well.
As for now, break time. =)

Oh, I'll bear it all right. I wake up at 6am, work until 5pm, get home at around 5:30pm and by then, I'm normally too demotivated to work on anything apart from sketching stuff on my Wacom. >< But that's why weekends exist, which is like a blessing in disguise.
I wish I could be doing the things I love, but as they say, you can't have everything in life.

Thanks, janussenpre. I'll bear those tips in mind ( Clip Studio does have a G-Pen too, but for some reason I ended up using the Turnip brush ) for future works. I might use the break to redesign some characters and might do a script/plot overhaul. I just won't be working in the editor for once.
Part of my bad mood could stem from the fact that I feel oppressed at work too...

Better put on Haitus than flat out Cancelled. I'm in a bit of a funny place right now ( and RL only worsens my drive to work on my games ) and I'm at that point where I have no desire to do anything game-related. Like I'll open up the editor, do nothing for half an hour, become dispirited and close it down. But it could have been worse. I could have lost my entire project, but it's backed up on Dropbox.
In the meantime, I'll refine my art and maybe even play Final Fantasy Tactics ( I've been eyeing that for a while now and may take some inspiration from it... without the whole Lucavi thing... And end up shipping Agrias/Ovelia. )

Practice sketches. Still need to finalise some things. Tristian is meant to be around 6ft tall now, so I need to convey it in a way by lengthening her upper body. Her head is still a bit small though. And I'm still finding it hard to do justice to her. She's supposed to be a very beautiful woman, sort of like a model stuck in a suit of armour...

Tristian's menu portrait comes from this image. Several details are still missing.
Lance is supposed to be around 18 or so, but he looks 12 in that portrait. ><
Sometimes I feel like I'm known more for my mapping prowess than my actual gams. ><
Maybe its just my current mindset atm. I'm kinda depressed because my cat of 15 years had to be put down after she had a form of underlying cancer. ;_;

200x200 is just far, far too large. The biggest I'd go for is 60x60, but no more. Rather add more areas of interest like LockeZ mentioned if you're going for a larger, epic scale feel. Players do not like trudging through monotonous natural areas, especially if random encounters are involved ( worse if there is a battle every 5 steps >< ). Oh, and hidden areas behind waterfalls are always a win-win situation if they contain nice treasure/loot. =)
