The end of RM2k/RM2k3?
There will probably be options to run 2k/2k3 in future platforms, but they will become more difficult and less accessible as time goes on. In 5 years, it may be very difficult to run those engines. This is a legitimate fear of anyone in the game industry - you'll notice very few new games come out near the end of a console's life-cycle. They plan around the estimated life-cycle of a system.
It may make more sense to try and finish up your project as soon as possible (I have no idea how close you are), and start on something new, in one of the newer RPG Maker engines. Alternatively, you could try and port your project over, but that sounds like an enormous hassle and I tend to recommend that people finish their projects and start new ones, rather than rewrite the same one over and over.

Yea I was joking that you should upload it just for the Makerscore :P gotta rack up points where you can.
Anyway speaking of unfinished projects, it's super embarrassing that I've uploaded 3 projects and two of them are on hiatus, and I've completely lost the files for one of them.

Tiny Dr. Fetus sprite!
Thanks guys! The lack of shading was mostly a choice - I was basing the sprite off of the in-game Dr. Fetus animations, which usually use little-to-no shading. I'm still working and trying to improve on animations and spriting in general :)

Hm... it appears that the US is getting a taste of its own medicine. Finally!
Fuck, if only I hadn't eaten that last super-sized mcdonald's fry... curse you, karma!
ON a less serious note, I live all the way over in Michigan and we have rolling power outages and trash cans flying across the roads; it's extreme.
Let's talk about how great The Binding of Isaac is (or isn't)
Oh man, Devil Room... you are so tempting but I've screwed myself over so many times thanks to you. I usually skip little stuff like the Pentagram but if I see a Brimstone or Technology I will happily drop myself down to a single heart for it every time

Obviously it's more extreme than most games, but I appreciate that it's at least original and interesting. I went to Christian schools for most of my life and as far as religion goes, the game is extremely accurate. I don't find it terribly insulting because most of the religious aspects are straight from the Bible - the fact is, the Bible has some pretty extreme stuff in it. You could take it as an insult towards Christians, but you'll find that many priests and religious teachers have no problem admitting that the Old Testament / Revelations exist, are unforgiving and cruel, and were taken very seriously during that time.
The poop, vagina, penis, abortion stuff is sophomoric for sure, but I don't find it terribly offensive - it's not insulting anyone directly. There's dumb shock-value, but I love that a game is willing to go all-out on stupid and tasteless risks, rather than the all-too-common opposite with "safe" material. The fact that the game did so well shows that there's a large following of people who aren't as easily offended as we tend to think.

Love Has Eight Legs
Haha, I'm glad other people enjoy the little snippets, I put them in there mostly for me tbh :P Thanks!
My tablet art is a bit weak, I'm still getting used to it.

@Craze: I've always liked the "enemies as homework and bosses as exams" approach
@Pyramid: MAKERSCORE
I just thought of a funny small concept for an action game called "Anarchist Baseball" where you run anime-hero-style with a baseball bat dragging along on the ground dodging and jumping and finally you beat some rich dude's head in.

Yea, I could see someone getting overwhelmed if they got the DLC at the same time as the game; it's funny how much of the game you can look at and go, "oh wow yea he really didn't plan on it getting this far did he?" That goes for a lot of indie stuff tbh.
Eve is weird for sure. She strikes me as a tad gimmicky. Judas is always fun, although Cain's definitely my favorite because the Lucky Foot is just so good, and the speed is great.
I can tell the game has worn down on me a bit, because when I started I absolutely refused to look up any item effects but about the time the DLC came out I had given up on that. Still, the fact that I can get 40+ hours out of 8$ of game is crazy. I can't remember the last time I got a AAA title with that much value.
Also, Edmund is my bar-none indie hero. Team Meat / Ed are probably the only things I've ever really fanboy'd over, besides the old Blizzard days.
