I am CashmereCat now.

Twisted baubles replace my brain and I am toxic yet nice. There's a lot to me, but also not a lot going on up there, they say. PM me because I love attention, I do interviews, I do reviews, I do stuff. Here for the long haul. Gotta hustle.
I'm working on whatever I'm working on, and I love RPG Maker games that aren't traditional RPGs. Puzzlers, interactive stories, but nothing too abstract that'll weird me out. Just give me a polished gem and I'll stare at it for days, marveling at the way the light reflects just right, inner inflections, potato top pie.
I want to make games with you.

@TheRexion: It looks very nice and Pokemon-y. I like the style of outlining the trees, etc. I do feel, though, that the path is obstructed by too many bushes. It might be hindersome when walking through.
@Demi that's a very nice desert town you got there. The cliffs on the sides look very realistic too, especially the pond. Is the house on that cliff just for decoration, though? Because I see no way of getting to it except maybe jumping off that roof.
@Sana that looks very lush and beautiful. I like the large trees and how much detail they have in the leaves. The light effects are very artistic, too. No quibbles about your screenshot. :)

I don't usually bash kickstarters, but...
I'd like to see a list of the most successful RPG Maker kickstarters... see which ones are actually good ;D
Mafia: Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni (Game)
Games we need to get over
Persona 4. It keeps coming up in topics about "Ooh, how can I put personality into my game", or "players can make their own choices in this entirely open-ended RPG with 99 features on it" or "I want to make a dating sim that's also a dungeon crawler that's also got lots of side-quests like Skyrim and action-based combat but also, like, 1000 items and customizable classes, but also there is a main storyline that's got like 50 epic hours of playtime", and it annoys me a little bit.
Mafia: Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni (Game)
It's OK Liberty I had fun playing my first game... got thrust into the action immediately! Going to enjoy playing my first clean slate with this Death Note-themed mafia... gonna be interesting.

It's a kickstarter project that raised $10,000 for an RPG Maker game with entirely RTP graphics, sucky gameplay, and a really shoddy game concept. He also composed his own equally horrid soundtrack.
Now normally I wouldn't mind this, but... $10,000??? Let's kickstart a commercial Hero's Realm, for goodness sake, or Star Stealing Prince, or something. But this was just one guy who probably spent about a week on a game using default everything, and getting $10k for it.
EDIT: Just look at those screenshots. SMH

Mafia: Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni (Game)
author=Yellow Magicauthor=LibertyWhile I see your first point, the second is pretty moot because seeing as you were the suspicious one to begin with and you were the only one who suspected him.
Well, first time playing with him, I had no idea of his play style, but I did point out a few things that I thought were inconsistant - such as the fact he was sure I wasn't mafia when it'd be the logical conclusion for any townie to make if they knew or even heavily supposed I'd been lying. His first call was to mark me as independent, which was odd.
Secondly, he , for some reason, never out-right denied his mafia role when pushed about it. THAT seemed rather odd to me.
In all honesty I think your lynch is something that could have been avoided had you not claimed to be an Independent from the get-go...although TBG didn't help matters, but I guess that was a ~lost in translation~ kinda thing.
To be honest, I was actually confused, since this was my first mafia game. I tried reading up on all the posts done so far, and in my rush, I mistakenly thought that Liberty&I was somehow independent, even though we were "town-aligned".
On that note, nobody was independent-aligned, were they? Strange.

author=Yellow Magic
Those particular two just didn't have enough ~synergy~ I guess...
EDIT: Liberty, you ~knew~ that CAVE_DOG was a Mafia member? Right...and I'm the Sultan of Somalia. ~_~
To tell you the truth, I thought you were mafia with CAVE_DOG. I kinda could see you sitting back and egging everything on, but it turns out you probably were just trying to figure out who was scum and who wasn't.
It just goes to show that a dominant mafia can convince the town of anything as long as they're willing to listen.
Mafia: Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni (Game)
Man I was confused but I really liked this game. I kinda suspected CAVE_DOG from when I joined, since he started attacking me aggressively for little to no reason, but he managed to change my mind to kill Yellow Magic, MirrorMasq etc... I think I just need to trust my gut instinct next time ;)
EDIT: By "little to no reason", I mean "he was mafia and was doing his job" :)
