Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!

Trying to figure out WHAT THE BUCK was going through my silly mind with this file. Because there's all sorts of stuff messed up with animations, stuff incomplete in the item database... I almost feel like this isn't my most up-to-date version with what I'm seeing here... But I'll check my external hard drive.

EDIT: And now that I've found it, I'm running into a couple of the problems I had before that were basically limitations of the engine, most notably in terms of experience. I'd like a high cap, but because of how the engine combines the primary, secondary, and tertiary values you put in, if you want a high cap, you have to start high as well.

So while it may take 39350xp to get from L98 to 99, it takes 460xp to get from L1 to 2, and that seems like too much to me. I can't get a proper curve only being able to influence three variables. A possible solution is to make getting from L98 to 99 even more steep, by pumping up any of the values to to thousands. But in so doing that, I make getting from L1 to 2 even steeper - like if I make a value 2000, it'll take 195050xp to get from L98 to 99, but it'll also take 2050xp to get from L1 to 2. And to properly balance enemy difficulty-to-reward with XP is stupid difficult with curves like that.

But other than that, it's just a matter of me finding my stupid stat curve chart so I can finish inputting party member stats, or else just draft up a new one.

Your favorite food, sir?

Sushi is always really good.

If I can't get that, then noodles. Like spaghetti. Lots of spaghetti.

Hm why not.

Thank Liberty in small part for this. .-.

I'm sure most all of you remember me at least somewhat. But I'm back at least in some small part. I don't even remember when I was here last, but I'm now a senior working towards my BS in Film & Media Studies, with the intention of going to graduate school for my PhD in Film & Cinema Studies. So basically I'm someone who writes bushels and bushels of drivel about movies.

But otherwise I basically just sit around playing JRPGs constantly. When I'm not doing that, I'm surfing the internet - whether it's the LP Archive, random gaming streams, or Twitter - or hanging out with my significant other.

Not sure what else to put other than... hi? :x

Also, I can assume we had a massive spat of spambotting if there's two CAPCHAS now.

What motivates ya?

Seeing my old stuff. And how terrible it is. And oh god why was it so terrible.

That's... sadly it. Because I'm far too busy playing JRPGs to actually work on my own sad imitation of the genre. .-.

RMN Catalogue

Oh god damn this is old. Nostalgia rush followed by extreme amounts of shame! .-.

Though also kinda honored it's the second one on the list.

*AFTER WATCHING* Yeah, this really hurts. I think I'm going to upload something new. :x

Sagawind

Huh what hidden gem what is this madness.

Just as a quick note, I just popped over here to see if I could find a copy of Sunset Over Imdahl when I saw this.

I'll be honest that I can't escape the world I made for this, but I can never find the time nor the motivation to actually work... maybe one of these days, even if RPG Maker 2003 is dated as all hell. =P

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

PSP's got Mega Man Powered Up in it, PS2 has Tales of Destiny in it, GBA's got Pokemon Blue in it and sometimes Dragon Warrior. And of course I've been wasting time playing Knights of the Old Republic on my PC so I can finish it and get on to Mass Effect.

What are you thinking about right now?

I'm thinking about 1) brains and 2) Duke Nukem Forever. We're very similar right now, you see.

What are you thinking about right now?

Wow, the main theme to FF13 is catchy.

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

After giving back my friend's borrowed copies of Phoenix Wright, I'm off to work on getting more of the endings in Chrono Trigger on my DS. Plus, with Mega Man 10 being out and no way for me to access it (that's what I get for poor grades; the Wii is at home), I'm going through the Anniversary Collection, starting with Mega Man 3, since I already finished MM2 and, seriously, screw MM1.
