It's Demo Day!

Damn this is your most charming stuff yet. AgentApe is also sounding better than ever!

Totally loved the demo. This is a game that needs to be made. (not to pressure you, but I'd also pay some $$$ for it as well)

I don't really have complaints or criticism on how to improve. I'll just patiently wait for the full game and let you know that this is definitely on the path to something special.

It's Demo Day!

Will play when I have some time! Look forward to this.

Spooky Updates

I swear I'll get back to music soon! I need to go boost the hell out of the songs I made (my old computer sound sucked so I didnt know how quiet it was)

I also plan on redoing battle theme.

Life has been sbjbjsnjnsjnsjns lately.

Taking a Break

It is a personal goal of mine to make video game stories as good as books/tv shows/movies/etc. A game does not have to be pure "gameplay". If you want to have a strong focus on story, then there's nothing wrong with that. If you think it's best for the game to build the characters without always dungeon crawling, then it is your duty to make those sections good.

Something books have over ALL media is how you get a strong sense that you're living the life of the character. Tv shows and movies tend to show moments in their life but it's really hard to literally live as them. An episode of tv tends to be about 20 minutes or extended to about an hour. A day has 24 hours. It's really hard to live that in such a short time. Books don't take a bazillion hours to read, but it still convoys the life the characters live rather well.

The vast majority of games I have played try to do stories more like tv shows/movies. Yet, games area great tool for novel like story telling. It's a very hard line to cross between gameplay/story and what is boring and what is not. I don't have the time to go further into this, so I'll end here!

Long post short, do whatever you think adds to your game the best. Ace Attorney is one of my all time favorite series and that's mostly story. Don't be afraid to be more book like in yours games. Books are the king of story telling. Character/world building does not need to be boring/and does not need rpg combat. *runs*

This Game is Not Dead! (I'm So Glad This Game is Not Dead!)

From the ashes we rise. I too have had a haksjkjd year. I've had the opposite issue: I needed to get a second job (that I despise) so my wife can stay in the country until she gets green card and whatnot. Things MIGHT finally be calming down soon.

Anyhow I look forward to this game, super loved the demo! Keep chipping away at this. I will play it when it's done.

Crescent Eve - Moon Cycle system.

There is nothing wrong with a little luck based mechanic to add some flavor. Luck tends to be a crucial flavor in RPGs, as long as it's not a necessity or screws one over.

Crescent Eve - Moon Cycle system.

Sounds cool! Keep going strong!

The Name Game

can the second overworld song still be named Zefryin or however you spell

The Hells are alive with the sound of music

I personally agree with kentona here. I actually miss games with just one battle song. You guys need to go back into the good ol days. :sunglasses:

The Hells are alive with the sound of music

Symphonia had good pacing for the battle music change and a reasonable amount. Two main ones, and one for a last dungeon. Three normal battle themes. I meant the ones after mostly like Graces and what not. We're planning on three as well.
