Game Progress and a Question
I love the idea of a progress meter. I should make one of those myself sometime.
For a demo, I don't know. When you finish chapter 1, if everything is done within that chapter, I'd say that's a good place to release. Demos should tease and make the player want more. I personally wouldn't want to play a good chunk of a game in a demo. But ultimately you know your game best. Maybe chapter 1 is not that long and needs chapter 2. I wouldn't know. Haha.

So. It's been a while.
I'm kind of late on seeing this, but that was a wonderful read. I have shared somewhat similar experiences to you, but not even remotely on the same level of scope.
To me, your story is part mega success but mostly a frustrating period of time where time slipped through the cracks; but now things appear to finally be turning around.
Personal stories of growth are my favorite type of reads on this site, kinda makes me feel like I'm not alone on this type of stuff haha.
