Let's Talk Bloodborne
I'm pretty hyped for this. I need to save up for a PS4 eventually to get it, but this is pretty much the system seller for me. I don't have much experience with Dark Souls other than about 30 hours of the first. (I really want to finish, but shit happened that led to my file to be lost forever.) But those 30 hours were mindblowingly amazing. Good to hear praise for this haha.
Xenoblade Chronicles X
Finished it. The story came together brilliantly in the end. Don't know why there was mention of the ending being taken out in this thread, the game completely had a conclusion and opened up for sequels.
I prefer Xenoblade, but this game has quite a bit of pros over it. It was a great experience, though also quite challenging and forces you to REALLY try just to proceed haha. The game is massive, I only have about 34% surveyed and I have like 61 hours.

Cope Island Part 1-5 (No Commentary)
These are fantastic and a trip down memory lane. I spend so much time working on this game I barely go back to what it once was. Thanks!
The Island Evolves

Holy crap this is quite the overhaul! I like how everything looks, too. The only point I'm concerned about is the second picture from the bottom. The top cliff looks a bit unnatural, as it's originally designed to be planted in the ground.
And woah, you're going from 7 songs to 24? Granted, I haven't played it in a while, but I'm trying to figure out where 24 songs would even fit in the game. Is there a unique track for each screen?
Regardless, this is exciting news! I can't wait to play the commercial verison!
About the second to last picture, hmm. I think I see what you mean. You're actually high on the cliff there, but I'd definitely want to avoid confusion and unnatural looking stuff.
Edit: Bah! I totally see what you mean now, I need to make a new tile to look more natural when not connected to ground haha.
About the songs, I'm adding a bunch new secret areas. In the original there was 3 small dungeons plus a last area just for the final boss fight. This one will have those areas (vastly updated and a bit larger each) and at least 4 more dungeons. The way I have it set up is you can do 3 dungeons then the game ends. On the "permanent death mode" I've added a bunch of secrets and you can manage to do alternate routes on that. So the game I hope will always take about 30 minutes, but replays could end in quite different experiences.
On the main routes, I've added 3 songs. Since the forest area is larger this time, I added a second song after the first two maps, as I feel the forest has two parts. The shrine where you put the talismans is much larger and more of a map now, so I added background music to that. And I added boss stage music as well. And there is a title screen song now.
There are a good amount of secret areas and they each have their own theme.
I don't like having new music for the sake of new music, so I try to make sure it all fits, haha. I basically added a bunch of new content. I'm hoping to make the game I envisioned at first and not be limited this time. With that said, I still am trying to keep the short and sweet aspect to it.
Brave Hero Yuusha Review

Wow, it sounds like the game made a pretty big impression on you! Thank you for the review!
For a while, I was worried that I made the game too easy (especially the last few areas), but it's starting to look like I've hit the right chords in terms of difficulty.
It did leave an impact on me! I don't know, I think overall, it was just my type of thing, and I appreciate seeing someone make something I would want to make and get any sort of success with it.
I've found myself playing really hard and long games as of late, so this was a breath of fresh air regarding difficulty. I played it while I was relaxing and it helped.
The last few areas were hard enough to force one to try so I would not say it was too easy haha.

Thanks a ton! I'm very glad to hear I made an impact! It's amazing to me to think anyone's listening at all, much less that it meant something to them. My main musical inspirations are Donkey Kong Country and Banjo-Kazooie if that helps at all with pinning down the style... Probably not, but there you go!
I see both, especially Banjo Kazooie in any version of the Puppeteer theme. Donkey Kong Country 1, 2, and Banjoo Kazooie have sound tracks I pretty much worship. I've studied those games for many hours of my life haha.
Listening to random songs from the game again I see both Banjo and DKC influences.

No problem! Also, I have a question for the composer: What music making program did you use to make the music? I love the quality of chiptune.
Brave Hero Yuusha
I just started this game and only played 30 minutes, but I am already wow'd by it all.
The first thing that really makes an impact is the freaking music. It has the essence of classic nes games yet the music is its own thing. Seriously, every song so far is bursting full of heart.
Then the text box appears. The font, the beeps for every letter... I wanted to do the beeps for every letter for a while now, but never got around to actually attempting it. So yeah, I noticed that, and I think it's awesome.
The graphics are great and the enemies are extremely charming. The first dungeon was well designed and the battles were fast paced. The battle backs are really well done as well.
The dialogue is nicely written. I feel like I just bought this game somewhere and playing something a professional made.
I definitely look forward to playing more of this.

Xenoblade Chronicles X
The story itself is quite dark and sad, they added the comedy parts to relieve some of the tension and bleakness; though I personally feel they did not find a good balance at times. With that said, I'm loving the story behind the goofy parts.
I for one am just understanding soul voices and I like them quite a bit. It's a battle system that's quite complex and needs a lot of time to get to know (just like Xenoblade did). I prefer this battle system over Xenoblade because this one you can run and jump and stuff in the battles, makes it way more action-packed to me.
I just completed Chapter 7. Onto more exploring. I cannot express how much I'm enjoying myself with this game.

Really cool tree top there, haha. I like how it's a creepy hand. The shading of the tree is really nice too. Subtle yet effective.
