It sucks knowing that Firefly got no further than season one... I'm finally watching it after seeing Serenity be on the TV so many times, and it's pretty awesome.

^ That! I almost finished watching Firefly, but they no longer aired it on t.v. at the time I was watching. Loved that show and movie!

And to not even get past a first season sucks nuts, considering shit like Grey's Anatomy and other lame shows get like 4-5 seasons. :\
I'm just glad I'm not the only one that feels its awesomeness was short-lived.

Thank god Firefly got no further than season one
I am pretty sure if Firefly lasted longer than one season it would have went downhill like every other sci-fi series does, so I agree with this sentiment.

Phhhht Star Trek is the opposite of this. All the series got better out of their first season (Duet fucking owned though). Not saying they reached good territory (see Voyager and Enterprise), just they got a bit better over time.
I think you're absolutely right with Firefly though. The best episode was the second pilot, the rest steadily got worse.

To be clear which episode I'm talking about (like FG said the episode order is fucked) I'm talking about The Train Job. iirc it was the second pilot made but the first one shown? I forget.

What's a real shame is that the Firefly episodes were shown in the wrong order. I doubt it would've gotten much worse until it got to quite a number of seasons, in line with the creator's other work (Buffy, Angel...)
I never knew this. I always assumed the viewing order was the true order and that it was really just placed kind of like Serial Experiments Lain.

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

What's out of order about Firefly? It seems sensible to me, but maybe the DVD order is different than the airing order?
