I finally got a wii u and the game but i really suck ass online
just remember that in order to win on For Glory, you only need to roll, grab, and taunt.
Anyone excited for Corrin/Bayonetta on Wednesday? At first I thought Bayonetta looked really OP, but from the recent footage it looks like Corrin shows more potential. Won't know til they're released I guess.

I don't know if it's cause I spent so much time online, but I don't notice a difference except against someone with an obviously laggy connection.
Might buy Bayonetta, certainly not the other one. Not sure. I bought Ryu and Cloud and while I do play as them once and a while, I'm more of a 1 character kind of guy.

I'm definitely interested in the characters, but I haven't made room in the budget for Smash DLC since the first round with Mewtwo...
Hell, I haven't played the game at all since that tourney we did...
Maybe I should try to get back on the Smash Train sometime soon.

I was mostly interested in Corrin for this release, but that is mainly because I haven't played Bayonetta's game. I tend to go for personal interests than quality (Which is why I stink with all of the first round DLCs, except for Roy).
Which is probably why I'll eventually wind up buying Ryu instead of Cloud. I'd watched his trailer and he looks like he might be pretty solid (heck, they both do), but I haven't had an interest in Final Fantasy for a long time now.
I'm mostly just hanging around and wondering what the next round of DLCs will bring. The idea has actually started becoming a little exciting.

Yeah, Ryu is better than Cloud if you practice a lot (using his true shoryuken can kill at %90, and it has kill confirms) but Cloud is WAY easier to just pick up and play. It's actually scary how well Cloud is doing in tournaments considering how new he is.
and i wish they would do more DLC but the creator said Corrinetta were the last two characters (RIP Rhythm Heaven character) ;-; oh well, can't really complain when there's already 58 characters

Bayonetta is so much fun. Probably my favourite of the DLC characters by far. They do a really good job of keeping her kid-friendly, too. I suppose the most risque thing about her might be her win poses, but even those aren't too bad - though I think any young boys playing the game are going to find them to be quite curious!
I didn't bother picking up Corrin, because... well, why? The game really didn't need another sword wielding Fire Emblem character at all.

I'm kind of glad. I've never played Bayonetta's game, but when I saw her being released and I was looking at her, ummm, outfit, I was a little worried. I have a younger sibling who loves this game, so yeah.....

You know, it's funny, I've seen a lot of people have issues with them not including Chrom, and I think some of them had half-swallowed the fact that Nintendo didn't want too many sword-wielders or another Ike-clone(as even Nintendo hinted it).
When they brought out Cloud, and then Corrin, I couldn't help but wonder what the Chrom fans were thinking.

Instead of flooding the roster with the same character with different skins from Fire Emblem, they should have made a separate fighting game for FE, like Pokken Tournament did for those pokemans. But at least the pokemans have wildly different fighting styles in Smash.

Marth and Lucina are the only 2 characters that have identical moves and really play the same. Roy is the closest with mostly similar moves but more power and a few variations. Everyone else is vastly different and doesn't fall under that complaint at all. Corrin is certainly not just another FE sword user reskin.

I haven't played Corrin yet, but Marth, Roy and Lucina all seem to have basically the same or slightly tweaked movesets. Even Ike's moveset is reminiscent (but a least he has a 'heavy' differentiation). And FE is greatly overrepresented already in the game, based on relative all-star and popularity and nostalgia factors.
I also think Dark Pit is a lame addition. The guy is nothing more than a boiler plate creation from The 1990s Guide To Creating A Cartoon Antagonist. Superlame.
I would have preferred characters like Toad, Simon Belmont, Bomberman, Master Higgins, Captain N, or hell even Birdo. E: or Erdrick/Loto and Rocket Slime from Dragon Quest.
E2: or a Splatoon squidgirl. That would have been cool and unique!

I will not rest until a Smash game features Mappy. Now that Bandai-Namco is so involved in the series, maybe that could happen in the next game.

Yeah, I was actually completely baffled when they announced the last fighters to be released and there was no Inkling anywhere.
Seems like a gigantic missed opportunity, especially since Splatoon is one of the most popular Nintendo IPs in years.

Maaan, the regular For Fun lobby is pretty much hopeless at this rate. Literally every match I've managed to get is just another damn taunt party that wants to 2v1 or 3v1 me, if they do anything at all (seriously, how did it come to this?). And every time I try a Regular Tourney, it's a damn slideshow. Gah. I'd do more For Glory 1v1, but trying to be "competitive" with input lag isn't really my idea of a good time.
I need to remember to send out some FQs next time I boot up the Wii U. If anyone wants to send one my way, my ID is mamboFoxtrot.
