Just because it happens doesn't justify the behavior. Yeah I've seen much worse than this but that doesn't mean I need to sit here and take it. I'm better than to be called a troll for having my own damn opinion.I simply expected a more mature behavior out of this place.

No, it doesn't justify it. But it's one of those things you have to accept and learn to live with, as in ignore it. It exists, and you know it exists, so don't take it personally. Adjust your expectations and your own reaction to it. Telling people they are jerks and immature and saying you give up is not the best reaction.
It's not an attack on you personally. It's people expressing themselves the way they want to, through the lens of their personality. If you can't take it, then you shouldn't be posting a topic that says you didn't like one of the greatest RPG's of that generation. There's gonna some friction. What did you really expect to happen here?

Please quit acting like I'm ignorant of how the real world works. I know about assholes I was abused in school OK. I just detested the elitism the idea that how dare I not have the same opinion as the majority and form my own thoughts. I don't mind the disagreeing parts I disliked the assumptions that I was a troll for not agreeing that FF 6 is one of the greatest games ever. I made this thread for an intellectual debate and to see if any others felt the same. I did not intend to engage in flaming.

I remember when games came out fast and good
Now you look back to a previous or previous to that game in a franchise and you go "da~amn that was like ten years ago" and then suddenly feel really old

Kentona is a good guy, Tago. Believe me this place is filled with alot of good people, and would not back you into a corner, and cause problems. That only happened some years ago when the community was a little chaotic, but that is ancient history now. It would be very rare to see a jackass around here, you would only found them way more commonly in "certain video game websites" >_>.

I said I didn't care anymore. Then only thing that pissed me off was people assuming I'm a troll for having my own opinion. I'll say it again I don't care what anyone thinks. FF 6s soundtrack is forgettable and Earthbounds is far more varied, unique, catchy, and over all interesting. That's my opinion and your free to disagree but just because you don't like it doesn't make me a troll or mean my opinion has no value.

We can debate that, if this were true we would not see so many remixes, and remasters of FF6 music across the net. It's quite on the same playing field with Earthbound's music since I took the time to look up their OST too, and remixes that exist for it, and I can tell it's quite popular, both OSTs are quite loved. You might just personally feel it was just not your cup of tea, and that's all good, no harm really done here, a OST would truly be forgettable if most people never really gave it a thought.

Heck alot of people like F-Zero's OST, but I never could get into it except for maybe like a couple tracks that were quite amazing.

Yeah, I'm actually going to agree with whoever called you a troll because you just went out of your way to reignite a discussion that was over with the intent to set sparks flying once again.

Enough of that though. What were we talking about again? Oh, right, games and release dates and the difference a year can make. I mean check this out: Secret of Mana (1993), Final Fantasy 6 (1994), Suikoden (1995).
The huge difference in these games which are a year apart is phenomenal.
I mean, SoM was a bright, chirpy, empty-headed adventure. It was full of colour and while it did have a storyline and characters, they weren't expanded in a large capacity. The world was 'just there' and you didn't really get a connection to different areas. The world revolved around collecting the spirits and while the gameplay was fun and interesting, there were only three characters in your party who filled certain roles and weren't really explored as characters beyond a light perusal.
Just a year later we have a dark fantasy in Final Fantasy 6, full of characterisation and motives that we get to see on screen. One of the things that made it so memorable was that it was one of the very few games where the main enemy was a recurring one - you got to see Kefka's plans unfold, and he got a lot of screen time that helped him evolve. This was no shadowy puppet figure that appeared at the end to laugh in your face. He was, instead, an ever-present force that constantly got in your way and damn well destroyed the world. A viable threat. That's not to mention the darker graphical style (more gritty) or the soundtrack to match it, which was incredibly woven through the story. This was a game about people.
Then the next year we get Suikoden - a game that blended pseudo 3D graphics with 2D and allowed for a very different play style while still representing jRPG staples. The larger sprite sizes allowed for more emotions (not fully realised until it's sequel, Suikoden II, but still a feature) and poses, as well as more interesting battle systems, the ability to have 100+ characters at your beck and call and a host of smaller bits and bobs that made it a great experience. Plus a rocking soundtrack.
And the year after that? A number of interesting titles - Wild ARMs, Bahamut Lagoon, Dragon Warrior III (huh, a bit behind the times it seems), Energy Breaker, Treasure of the Rudras, Star Ocean, Treasure Hunter G, Super Mario RPG and RPG Maker 2 (for the SNES!).
And the year after? Final Fantasy 7.

I just found FF 6s soundtrack to be like any other classical music soundtrack. Nothing really stuck with me in fact I have a hard time remembering the tracks. Anyway thank you for being mature.
