WHAT VIDEOGAMES ARE YOU PLAYING RIGHT NOW?

Replaying Homework Salesman and Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor NDS..but mostly now focusing on HMS because SMT:DS became harder after Beldr surfaces...
But maybe I just love appreciating the mapping and the whole game of HMS...or I am secretly hoping me playing HMS will touch the RM gods and will incur a miracle of CH.2 for HMS to happen...
Anyone else playing Mortal Kombat 11? I'm having an absolute blast with the game. The gameplay is really solid and it's evident that NRS learned some great lessons from Injustice 2. I feel like this is their best playing game of all time so far, it's just such a solid and well made fighting game.

Went back to my old flame Dragon Quest 3, my all-time favorite JRPG. I've played that and FF Tactics so many times without completing either game over the years, but I've reached my usual drop-off point for DQ3 (beating Kandar and heading to Noaniels) and I've breezed past, playing as far as this in one day (today, in fact).

With all the accrued know-how of game mechanics and personalities for the Super Famicom version, I feel I could actually beat Baramos if I really tried. Farthest I've ever gotten was *to* Baramos in the GBC port (back when it was still called Dragon Warrior 3 in the States), but that bastardly Archfiend kicked my ass hard my only fight I attempted after I sloughed through his maze-like dungeon. And that was the first save file I ever made of DQ3! D:

My current team comp is Reynard the Hero (named after my current fursona-in-progress after I realized I'm cis-male after all), Rachel the Martial Artist, Jason the Warrior, and Maia the Priestess. It's a pretty melee-heavy team, but my *days* Jason died twice in the Shampane Tower despite being the beefiest and hardest-hitting party member on my team! The first time was me being unprepared for the first. Goddamn floor of the tower. And the second time was the actual fight against Kandar and his goons. At the very least, those are the only two casualties I've suffered thus far. ^^;
Going through some ps1 classics on my newly obtained vita (too lazy to hack it yet). Tried resuming BOF4 but I cannot handle the movement system. The weird isometric camera where you have to stop to rotate it 90 degrees just see where you're going, and only being able to move in 8 locked directions (as opposed to free range diagonal movement). It's an RPG so whatever, but there are some timed sections I absolutely cannot stand. Also how many times do I have to watch the mushroom confuse animation? I love it when I try to flee the battle and I get to watch 2 of them do these long drawn out sequences. It's a great bait and switch, art style looks phenomenal and some of the towns are quirky and neat. Just can't stand the actual rigidness of how the game plays.

I moved over to Wild Arms 1, a game series I've never played aside from Wild Arms 3 rentals. Fucking love that you can Initial D dash drift in this game. Some of the color choices remind me of Rudra a bit, there's an odd drab look to everything, but there's still some cool setpieces. Also really like that the houses simply fade the floors in vertically rather than taking you to separate rooms when going up the stairs (thought about doing that in rpgmaker one day). Kind of expected more guns tbh though.

I've been playing a lot of Fire Emblem Warriors on the switch. A game that is itself enjoyable but has me curious about the proper Fire Emblem games, a genre of games I've been a little hesitant to touch after Final Fantasy Tactics turned me right off Turn Based Strategy games. I also picked up Radiant Historia Perfect Chronology for my 3ds. I played a small bit of the original RH through *ahem* perfectly legal methods (The original isn't available in europe for some reason) and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Though, a small nitpick I prefer the original character art to the redone character art, the new art just makes everything look generic while, to my mind the original art had a certain uniqueness to it.

I also dusted off my old Thrustmaster and jumped back into Elite: Dangerous, though I find myself too afraid to leave the bubble as the sheer size and scope of the galaxy is really daunting. So I've resigned to getting myself a freighter ship, specifically a Type-9 Heavy and just becoming a trucker while occasionally bounty hunting in my Python until I can make enough to get either an Anaconda or Federal Corvette (Which I will call the HMS Gorekill 3000).

Spend the last hour or so in Xenosaga Episode 3, trying to see if I could find the Boost counter via Cheat Engine. No dice so far. Like, I know that the maximum amount of Boost the party can accumulate is "3", barring certain equipment. However, I'm not 100% sure what that translates to data-wise. Whither or not that "3" translates to 30, 300, or something else entirely.

*Edit: I very largely assume a "0" Boost with an empty Boost gauge translates to "0" in the data. What a "1" Boost with an otherwise empty Boost gauge is, or a "2", or "3"... yeah.

Took a bit of doing, but, I managed an inventory hack for FF12.

I want to understand "repeater" codes better, and might have managed to pull something off here. I'm still not 100% sure how it works. However, somehow, something like...

I'm currently trying to get Aliens Vs. Predator 2 to run on windows 10. It's getting rather frustrating.

15 minutes later: Screw this, game is basically a virus.
Divinity: Original Sin 2. Oh man, why did I not play this game sooner? Such a fantastic game for D&D fans and the like.

Finally figured out the Boost code thing for Xenosaga Episode 3. It wasn't what I was expecting...

//Boost Level
//patch=1,EE,20ABCD11,byte,00000002

//Boost Gauge (goes up to about 0x60)
//patch=1,EE,20ABCD12,byte,00000000

...to be sure.
I tried out Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. It really is a Castlevania game in all regards. The floaty controls, lovingly crafted backgrounds and the OST stand out to me immediately after just 40 min of playing. At first I thought the fact that there are no Belmonts or Dracula would bother me, but it might actually make the experience more fresh this way. Let's see how the actual castle is whenever I get there...
I've played a bit Oktopath Traveler. I picked Tressa as the main and has mostly been rounding up each character, moving clockwise through the worldmap. The game has some nice ideas, but I'm not too impressed by it so far. The break system is a good idea, it's just that I hit the "okay, I break every enemy then kill it, so what next?" almost immediately and feel like the game is going to stay in training wheels state for at least all chapter 1 adventures. I'll see what happens once I unlock class changes.
Just started playing Alien Isolation, its a slow burn which I really appreciate. A couple hours in and I havent even come into direct contact with the Alien yet.
All chapter 1 adventures in Oktopath Traveler have been completed. I hope I can unlock subclasses in chapter 2. I've also found out that I can't boot the main character from the party until her chapter 4 is finished, so I may want to beeline for her chapter 4 a bit.
