There was this one game I downloaded from GGZ years ago, It featured an insecure and unsuccessful merchant as the protagonist, a trans gender mercenary as a supporting character, and had 100% custom graphics. It was a very short demo consisting of the introduction and one battle. Anyone know what Im talking about?

The good news: The game was eventually completed and became fairly successful.

The bad news: The full version was only released in Spanish.

Its name is La Cicatriz de Dhux, and its author is... me. To say I'm surprised anyone remembers that pitiful excuse for a demo would be an understatement.

I've actually considered translating the game into English, but right now I'm in no condition to do so. Mostly because, in what turned out to be a pretty dumb thing to do, I "locked" the game with this little program called molebox in an attempt to stop people from looking at the database and spoiling themselves to death. I have an unlocked version back home, but "back home" is pretty damn far at the moment, and will remain so until around Christmas.

If you are somehow interested in the Spanish version, a google search for "La Cicatriz de Dhux" should come up with a working link.

Anyone have the Alter Alia character swap patch?I know Neok hosted it on Z-share and I was hunting a forum he joined and found the download link, but I got a 404 because it didn't comply with the terms of use.

If you have an editor, just load it up and add the 2nd item in the database to your inventory, the one that says "$f Manage Team+". It lets you use any character in the game, including Gray, Gold and Silver, but it's not really tested so it'll probably cause some weird things to happen. It's really just to mess around with.

I wonder if anyone has my old game from like 2003-2004, The Legend of Kuleh. Google only turns up my introduction post that I made here a while back, and the computer I used to have the game on crashed long ago.

It was an RM2K3 game, the only one I actually ever completed for that engine.

I do still somehow have a copy of my first game from 2002 or so, Triax.

Tales of a Twist, the epic Tales of Symphonia spoof. I played the demo, and it was funny as heck. Only problem was that I don't think it was ever completed.

Not really obscure... it was pretty prominent a while back. It was also on http://www.indiegames.com/blog/ and stuff.

Yah, but it's hype has died down since then. I just though it be cool to post it on the site. I'd do it myself, but as I said, unless it's okay with everyone, I'm not going to risk stealing it.

That's what this thread is for--uploading games that you didn't make yourself.

So, it should be obvious that you didn't make the game, if you're uploading it HERE.

And Yume Nikki, the English version is still on Indie Games anyway, and the rapidshare links for it still work:

Does anybody remember name of the game where you play as this guy
and you start in a place where there are trees like this
and this BGM is playing on the backround?

Your first mission is to go to somekind of cave where you need to beat this elemental. Then you become part of this some sort of "Seed" FF8 ripoff group. It was mostly rtp & mac & blue adventure, with lots of RTP heroes, and there was some two countries fighting or something. I think there was some sort of ship in the titlescreen maybe.

Still looking for this :(
