Welp, still working on that same old puzzle. Yes, I'm relatively slow on working on my own game anymore, what of it!?
However, I think I have an idea for the final "puzzle", so to speak, of my dungeon! Comes from one of the Paper Mario games anyways. Basically, you walk into the room and pick up the key, but in doing so the room is locked. In order to leave the room, you must A) Put the key back (obviously, you don't want to do this as you need the key), or B) Give up items to 3 separate pedestals or whatever (predetermined amounts and types per pedestal). Once you leave the room with the key, you cannot go back in either to reclaim the items.
For example, one of the pedestals would go something like "Sacrifice P x25/Lapis x10/Potion Berry x3/F x1?" (P = Potion, Lapis = Hi-Potion, Potion Berry = Mega Potion, and F = Elixir, for those that don't know). The player would choose one of these, and they would lose that many of the item chosen. I am not sure what to make the other 2 pedestals yet (probably something similar to that).
I am not sure if I really want to go through with this or not...money is already super tight in the game as it is, and leaving to go restock on items is quite the trek. Hmm...I need opinions on this! Once I get this last puzzle done (and add in the music notes to the sound puzzle for the hard-hearing), I can finally finish this dungeon, which excites me! >_<

Hosting a collaborative map-making event over at RPG Maker Web. It's going so well. I might bring it over here, too.
@CashmereCat - tehe... that seems kinda like an exciting idea. : )
I presented 2 mini games on the page for now; just returning a lil' bit entertainment to the community here http://rpgmaker.net/games/6281/ and here http://rpgmaker.net/games/6261/ *rambleramble*

Working on eventing a chase scene through a short obstacle course. It's easy enough to maneuver the player through, but it turned out to be quite a chore in the case of the event doing the chasing. I had to cheat a little and prevent the player from backtracking in some areas. I hope it doesn't end up frustrating anyone.
@CashmereCat
Ooh. I'd probably get in on that if you brought it over here. o:
@NebelSoft
Er, both of those pop up "page not found." Not been approved yet I take it...?

@GoatBoy
Ah, it probably wasn't.
But, guess it Is now. : )
But yeah that collaborative map-making thing is interesting - like making a world that features everyone's own mini land or country. But the organizer has the most work to do, butting all submissions together, the correct way, so that they can be played... ^^

Wow, that looks really cool! It's like a RPG Maker quilt! And now I have the first Zelda overworld music stuck in my head!
It's probably high-time to work on this game again. I don't recall if any of my beta-testers gave me feedback on the "newer" demo before they decided to leave this plane of existence or outright get banned. Which is the same thing, actually.
Finishing up on my final touches for the Game Name Game Event! I’ve actually gone to town with this thing I’m having so much fun with it! Of course, once it’s all over, I’ll get my arse back to working on Monopolo’s remastered version again. Ugh… >_<

I might do actually. It seems like it's a hit over on that site. It's almost too much to keep up with! But I'm managing.
Just a ton of stuff now that I've delved back into gam-mak. But I'll probably post all my updates on the relevent game blog. ><
Working on a room with pattern based on fractals, fineshed the arches,
now going to work on matching windows, bookshelves and a pattern for the floor.
I'm working on a simulation/trade/diplomacy/politics-RPG that for once in the longest time I can actually say with confidence will see some sort of a release in the horizon! Mostly thinking of backstories and ideas for its characters at the moment. No random battles here, all enemies you encounter are unique guys and gals with different strengths and weaknesses, and your goal isn't necessarily to beat em all up, but maybe to get as many of them on your side as you can: and it might be necessary, because they might also team up and hunt you down together if you piss them off too much. I settled to have about 35% of the rivals you meet to be assigned random factions/strengths/weaknesses to make things more interesting.
Having a blast with simply eventing and writing dialogue, perhaps just for the fact that this time I decided not to map any towns, which I always hate making, and forcing myself to endure them just grinds my projects to full stop. Here cities are represented simply by "here's a list of locations, where'd you like to go?".

Trying to create a 'manly'-looking elf with VX Ace character generator, but it ain't working out real well.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Just make a pirate and then give him long ears.
I've tried that, but the face structure either ranges from "child" to "teen" to "slightly effeminate man" to a strong jaw that looks very out of place with the rest of the head.
Try creating an old woman, there's nothing that allows for that at all. You just end up with white haired teens. :/ Anyway, my suggestion is to use facial hair, facial hair makes everyone manlier.

Now, if you asked me to create a bunch of different old women who you could tell apart just from their faces, I don't think I could do it. But just one? It's not that bad.
