AEROFUNK80'S PROFILE

There are two things I love: video games and writing. I've enjoyed writing stories since I was very young, and I'm an 80/90's kid, so my childhood was Atari, NES and SNES. I wanted to go to school for video game design, but that's not where life took me. When I discovered RPG Maker, it allowed me to take my two passions and fuse them together. I absolutely love creating fantasy worlds, writing the lore and developing characters. I do lack the artistic creativity and plugin knowledge, but I like to think I make up for that in storytelling. I love the old school RPG's where they gripped us with great stories: Final Fantasy 2&3, Chrono Trigger, Lufia and Secret of Mana to name a few. Tales of Yuria is my way to tell the first chapter of the world I've been creating for years.

How Did You Play?

1) Larrenburg: Did you cause havoc around the village before meeting the lord and his wife (kill any of the farmer's sheep and/or burn the plant)?
Crime doesn't pay, the flower was an accident.

2) Grugg's Lair: Did you rescue Sir Lindsey and Reginald? If you did... what was the outcome?
I tried, but they went to Heaven.

Bhakul Cathedral:
A. Did you give the mage at the Crossroads a Sun Sapphire?
I missed him.
B. Did you rescue Silent Child?
It was sneaky of you to put two people matching that description.
I guessed wrong.

C. Based on the above... what boss battle outcome did you get?
I fought only Bhakul. Who would have thought failing a quest would be a good thing.

4) The Dark Forest: Did you find the Eastern Tower? If so... did you help defend it, or leave Gilmund to his fate?
Saving him was probably my favorite part of the game.

5) Winberg Hall:
A. Did you get thrown in the dungeon? If so... how?
Kit's sacrifece will be remembered.
B. Did you allow Niall (the son) to join you? If so... did he survive?
I did promise his dad to keep him safe.

6) Did you find the innkeep's daughter, Kaity? If so... did you help her?
I was really tempted, but I saved her.

7) Did you get any assistance with Cinder at the very end?
Gilmund came to my rescue.
Though it was funny how Cinder counter attacked sir Edwin when shot with arrows.

PS If you want people to chose the different options have pros and cons for all of them.

I do plan on having more noticeable pros and cons in my second game. There were slight ones in this one. An item received, help at the end, different game play or a dungeon, etc. I'd say the biggest was the Cathedral. That was the dungeon that took me the longest to complete. I plan on doing more dungeons like that one in my second game, plus more events like the Tower Defense you enjoyed :-)

ALSO--just a bit of a teaser for my next game... I commissioned someone to make custom characters for part 2, so the main 4 characters will have their own distinct look :-) So far one character is complete but I'm excited because now I can really focus on the lore and different races of my world.

Wow, I think I did almost exactly the same as Libby!

1) Larrenburg: Did you cause havoc around the village before meeting the lord and his wife (kill any of the farmer's sheep and/or burn the plant)?
Nope!

2) Grugg's Lair: Did you rescue Sir Lindsey and Reginald? If you did... what was the outcome?
I also did the sneaking mini-game, I failed the first time, but I was really stubborn so I reloaded and went all the way back to that point and did it correctly the second time around (sorry, I know you discouraged us from doing so XD;;;;)

3) Bhakul Cathedral:
A. Did you give the mage at the Crossroads a Sun Sapphire?
No
B. Did you rescue Silent Child?
Yes! I really liked having to remember what they looked like based on descriptions you got when you were talking to all the Cathedral members.
C. Based on the above... what boss battle outcome did you get?
I don't remember ^^;; But it was probably an easier/easiest version?

4) The Dark Forest: Did you find the Eastern Tower? If so... did you help defend it, or leave Gilmund to his fate?
I think I mentioned it in my comments, but I found the Eastern Tower after I had already met with the lord and agreed to energize the orbs. I did defend it, tho.

5) Winberg Hall:
A. Did you get thrown in the dungeon? If so... how?
Nope, I was a goody-two-shoes and didn't touch anything.
B. Did you allow Niall (the son) to join you? If so... did he survive?
No, I told him to protect his family.

6) Did you find the innkeep's daughter, Kaity? If so... did you help her?
Yes and yes. Though I felt iffy about it, since she didn't want to give back the thing she stole XD

7) Did you get any assistance with Cinder at the very end?
Yes, Gilmund and a group of archers showed up ^_^

Thanks! Looks like everyone is being good and doing the right thing :-D

1) No. I was a good person.

2) Yes, I did via sneaking game.

3) Bhakul Cathedral:
A. No, he was gone by the time I had one.
B. Yes
C. IDK, I beat the boss?

4) The Dark Forest: I did and helped.

5) Winberg Hall:
A. No. I'm a good person.
B. I told him to get his ass back to his family.

6) Yes and yes, but I regret it.

7) Not quite there yet but I'm hoping I will!

The Bhakul Cathedral has 3 different boss variations based on what you did prior. You always fight Xandian. But you can either fight 2 Arch-Demons, 1 of them or none of them based on what you did prior.

Glad to hear you're a good person haha And hopefully, for 6, you won't regret it by the end.

I'm pretty new to MV myself. Is there any way to check your Project Version?

I had downloaded your game a couple of days ago but hadn't gotten around to play it yet. Guess I should get this new version now ^_^

The current download I have up is my most current version (v1.5). Yes, I'd recommend getting the newest version. After you download, it should say "Tales of Yuria: The Dragon God v1.5"

So glad to hear you plan on trying my game! :-) I look forward to hearing what you think (good and bad).

As for your first question... you can check your project version by going to the Js folder in your project, and then open Main.js (but you need to open it in Notepad). Once you have the Main.js open... it'll show you the project version at the top.

If you want to check your Editor version, just click on "Help" and then "About." That'll show you which version of RPG Maker MV you're using.

To update your project to the correct version that matches your editor.. visit this YouTube video by SRDude. It's quick and easy to follow: Tutorial Video
