What are you thinking about right now?
author=Ratty524It's Dead, Ratty.author=BizarreMonkeyWhat about HB Games? Though I haven't visited that site in years.
Apathy is becoming more admired as moddlecoddling becomes more of the norm. The only two super-huge web-bases left for RPGmaker are here and Webs. We're the more Unorthodox down to Earth exile refuge, typically for those who get banned on RMwebs or their sister site for whatever reason.
HB is Dead, RMRK is Dead, VX.net is dead, RRR is dead.
They are all so truly utterly dead, Ratty.
author=Cap_HCharas is dead and the Steam section for RM is just a narrowed extension of RMwebs that I can't be banned from because Valve don't care if I'm causing a little ruckus.
Charas? Steam?
Hell yes to Valve's Apathy.
RMCollective is dead, pavillion boards is dead, Omega-dev is dead, Whitefang is dead. (Those last two are partially my fault. Omega-dev because I made a skype group for it which just meant the forum became next to pointless, and the Whitefang Studios thing was a thing I violently shoved a destructive stake through and it all gave out and died because I'm a horrible person. But at least that time it was sort of on purpose. Sort of, really i just wasn't expecting it to go as well as it did, was originally just April fools fun that ended up being way too much fun.)
RMN Tagline Thread
author=unitySo? You guys taglined me and I'm a fuckin' douchebag!
True. But redwall10 is a jerk who has tried to game the system with multiple accounts and is generally terrible when it comes to anything resembling feedback or community participation.
Though looking back a page I think I misconstrued context so ignore my squawking.
author=LibertyI find so often that fellas from anywhere but Native English speaking countries that aren't latin american seem so much more versed and capable in English than Native English speakers are, verbose twaddlefaddling gits like me not withstanding.
It's only okay to make fun of them when they act like assholes, guys. rainbowkitty is just a new developer from another country, struggling with the English language. We've got actual first-language-English people on the site who use grammar worse so... yeah, no go for picking on peeps for that, yo.
I literally eat dictionaries.
As an example, my company has four Filipinos and four from the states, in just about every instance I can understand the Filos better than the Statemen.
I take pride in my English because it's one redeeming quality after being fucked by 58 different languages or so is that you can be such a pretentious dickhead with how you talk.
My goal is to become so pretentious that Picasso will rise from his grave just to tell me I've taken his job.
Clearly I have the noblest goals in life.
Oh right, back to the topic at hand!
KylaliaOut of it's original context, this describes the sites motto pretty well.
Saying fuck you, uncannily, happily.
ESBYI liked this one.
i did a rtp, now to scrub my skin

rpg maker mv is a large step backwards
author=Archeia_NessiahI use visual studio because it will literally murder me if I mess up syntax.author=YouChouEntameYou can use a much more powerful text editor or IDE like Atom, Sublime or Webstorm that provides much more features than the RM Script editors. You can just load a project folder and it pretty much functions the same.
There's nothing to worry,RPG Maker MV is using programmable plugins instead~!
Any chance we may be able to get some less uh-- how do I say this nicely? less utterly useless documentation for the JS side of it? Two of my coders who are fluent in javascript are getting overly frustrated with the way it's integrated and can't figure out how to do much.
I'm asking on their behalf because ultimately they'd be making plugins for me.

Kentona
As long as RMN is headed by me, apathy will reign supreme!
Fuck the Taglines just ken them Kentlines, as orchestrated by the great Kentona.
Some of the things you come out with remind me of my rapper friend from Lebanon.
I'm not really sure how I should feel about that. And I'm not really sure how you would feel about that. That guy was funny as balls though, so I am complimenting you at absolute face value.
What are you thinking about right now?
author=Gourd_ClaeOur most famous Olympist is a Native Woman, ever hear of Cathy Freeman?
@Libby Oh, that's so cool! It's great to hear ladies kicking butt in Aussie Land~
She's won a bunch of goldies.
author=MarrendI'm surprised they didn't flat out ban you.
Oooookay, so, Myriad Cypher's game-thread on RMW has been locked on account of having rips? I don't quite understand that decision. Like, my other games there have rips? Maybe because Myriad's are more obvious (read: graphics), but, I'm trying to not worry too much about it.
Of course, I'm desperately trying to keep a positive note about things in general, but, it's... kinda hard, to be honest.
But yeah, even on sister sites like VXace.net (which has very steeply declined from when I was there three years ago) there's this whole company-based authoritarian rigmarole that really, due to accountability, forced most staff to act on issues, even if they don't really need to.
It's fair enough, and my ban was more than justified.
RMN may have some problems but at least it does everyone the curtsy of just not giving a shit.

RMwebs is great until you fuck up somehow then it's hell on earth.
At least I earned my ban, some people get banned over there for the pettiest things, same with VXace.net.
Haha, ah well, not to sidewind us with all o' this.

Completely unrelated but scandalously fun fact, I just payed 120 dollars for commissioned smut.
No regrets. It was really good smut, schmaltzy as it comes.

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?
author=Aegix_DrakanOblivion is much more fun for character building. Also combat just feels a lot more fair than it does in Skyrim.
Now that the midterm rush has ended, I decided to start Elder Scrolls Oblivion. After hearing that it's supposed to be very good, and after enjoying the hell out of skyrim after adding a few really essential mods to fix deficient areas and add a bit of immersion, I picked up Oblivion on sale, and downloaded a bunch of useful looking mods.
......Huh.
I'm...Very meh about it so far. I don't feel like I'm part of the actual world. There's nothing really interesting along the roads to new towns, which feel REALLY far apart and everything feels...way too "fake".
When I played Skyrim (even unmodded), I felt kinda like I was visiting a world with odd characters and some clunky gameplayness (most of which was fixed with handful of mods). With oblivion, I feel like I'm visiting a theme park full of actors with strict rules on how to interact with everything, with even MORE clunky gameplayness getting in the way.
I dunno, maybe it's the weightless feeling combat, the endlessly repeated NPC conversations that feel totally unrelated to what's at hand, the fact that a lot of the world looks very same-ey (pretty, but samey), even with some of the improved landscape mods.
At least joining the thieves guild was somewhat satisfying, as I had to ask around and eventually pinpoint where I was likely to find them before I got a chance to do a contest to prove I was worthy to join. Making me do actual detective work? THAT was pretty decently done. That and the "invisible town" quest was pretty neat, if short.
...Although now, having to freelance-thief to progress in the Guild is...Awkward. I thought the whole point of a "thieves guild" was for them to tell me where the "action is hot" so I can improve my already-freeelance thieving? Not go "oh hey, we have some special jobs, but first, go loot stuff from whoever, then go halfway across the map to sell it, and then MAYBE we'll give you something special to acquire". I dunno, maybe I'm spoiled by how awesome skyrim's thieves guild felt. "Quick introduction, hey here are your job-guys, talk to them, go pilfer some stuff, come back, and here's a convenient fence for any stuff you stole while you stole. Oh, and check back in the meantime for more compelling side-story bits".
I hope it "clicks" for me soon. I've heard nothing but good stuff about it (apparently, the Dark Brotherhood and Theives guild were supposed to be great questlines).
I just say 'fuck the main quest' and go into the wilds, kill bandits, raid caves, just sandbox it up hard.
The main gripe I have with skyrim is the lack of character building that Oblivion has out the ass, you can trasmute spells ffs.
